>Backrooms and Obsession join a long string of successful YT directors
Has anyone done a wellness check on Chris Stuckmann?

it's 3:30 in the morning and i still can't sleep wat do

Watch Shelby Oaks.
>>
>>220903505
What I want to know is what he says, or moreover what's revealed, in his reviews of these movies that cucked him. Is praising them while kind of twitching? Is he saying they're not that good and then staring into space while reflecting on how then they sold 80 times the tickets that his movie did?

Theyre 50% ads and 50% generic platitudes like "I can tell the crew worked hard on this" and "As a director myself now (lol) Ive been through the process and big props to this guy for seeing it through"
>>
>>220903656
>Theyre 50% ads and 50% generic platitudes
Platitudes were common enough, but he also called a random gambling app as "cinematic", he chose the worst possible ads for a few videos.
>>
>>220903505
how did this guy even have fans
he has no personality and his takes are always just generic shit
>>
>>220903656
>>220903682
All I saw when I went to the backrooms review was the comments saying 'thanks for not doing ads this time' so I don't know about this comment... sounds like you guys are talking about his other reviews, the one with the gambling etc was before these movies came out.

when a 80IQ person hears a 90IQ person holding forth, they decide that the person knows a 'thing or too', but also note how the person is not in that threatening category of people who are talking about the movie in way they can't understand.
>>
>>220903690
most people are truly retarded idiots
>>
>>220903690
I'm a fan in a way that after I watch a shitty movie I want to see how cuckboy tries to tell me that it wasn't a shitty movie

How're they handling the fact they also can't direct a real movie?

Remember how he used to get shit for constantly being a fan of everything he was reviewing "since he was a kid"?
Then when he reviewed Get Out he said he's "had black friends ever since he was a kid" and showed a picture of him standing a noticeable distance off a group of black dudes
>>
>>220903807
In their latest reviews they list off "bad youtuber movies" like Smosh: The Movie and include Space Cop in it
So, like, fine I guess
>>
>>220903957
They can't be doing that good, I lowered my patreon tier...AGAIN!
>>
>>220903807
I think people who think dunking on Space Cop will make RLM mad dont realise they were super unhappy with how it came out
>>
Mark my words: RLM crossing Stuckmann will be their downfall
>>
>>220904132
yeah sure it just 'came out wrong'

>youtuber makes a shitty movie on some popular creepypasta meme

>already has a fanbase consisting of millions
like star wars?
>they flock the cinemas
and yet...
>>
>>220905196
I was talking about backrooms and that markiplier movies. Stuckmanns mistake eas trying to be original instead of making big chungus horror
>like star wars
Star wars as a franchise completely failed to capture new generation of kids. The franchise is running entirely on nostalgia fumes from old farts

Gow row some Shelby boats

>>220903690
This happens everywhere, look at Asmongold, most of twitch streamers and most 'celebrities of celebritys sake'. They're completely luke warm, no real personality or strong opinion one way or another. Most people don't really engage with anything, even with the movies they watch, they just let it happen to them until its over.

>turns out he was Salieri
it must sting
>>
>>220904132
They didn't even attempt to act.
>>
>>220905512
Trash analogy, Salieri was regarded as brilliant in his time and even now his stuff is considered decent. Stuckmann is more like a doorman who always wanted to play and briefly got a shot at it and turned out was shit.

Has a film critic ever made a good movie themselves?

Aren't they supposed to know what makes a good movie?
>>
>>220903505
I watched Shelby Oaks on a whim having heard nothing about it and never having seen this guy on YouTube before. During the opening credits, he presents his name in the most wanky, pretentious way possible and I remember thinking to myself "Is this guy a big deal or something?". I actually laughed out loud when I found out he's one of those guys who makes movie reviews on youtube. The movie was so generic and shit I honestly thought maybe it was a parody, but it was just too boring to be even that. Every shot looked like he just copied it from something he watched and thought looked cool and wanted it in his movie, rather than being inspired by ideas and emotions evoked from the concept of the scene. The tone and pacing of the movie seemed very confused and poorly thought out. Really bad movie, I didn't like it at all.
>>
>>220905565
I would argue most directors could at least partially be referred to as critics in and of themselves just by virtue of what they choose to do and not do. Its just these yourube guys who have no real taste revealing themselves to be charlatans.
