does anyone else have dreams where you explore new areas of familiar buildings? like my house has 2 more floors. my old school has a new wing, etc.

One was very vivid, the house itself wasn’t anything special, just your average middle class kinda place. But my wife and I went into the basement and found a passage to a sub-basement and eventually a hallway with lots of little rooms full of boxes and antiques and stuff. The hallway twisted and turned and went down a stairway or two and eventually came to a cavern which itself was a complex of caves, finished rooms, some stairways and hallways. Like if I found this in my home IRL I’d be creeped out and try to move away asap but in the dream it was fun and me and my wife were hyped up.

>>220916765No. I have a dream city that I always seem to wind up in. A lot of locations incorporate familiar places I have lived or spent time in, but they're distinct to the point where I often have lucid dreams because I recognize places that I know only exist in my weird dream-city.

So don’t pretend you don’t know all about all the shady shit that’s going down in this town! Lie to me again, and I’ll smash your fucking teeth down the back of your throat and you can choke to fucking death on them! No one’s going to care, hell, I’ll probably get a fucking medal!” He was up in my face and I wad getting covered with spit. Then the slender, attractive blonde female cop, who’d been being the good cop up until now said“It’s no use, we’ll have to torture him.”The male cop opened up a normal looking cupboard and it was absolutely stocked with medieval torture equipment.I looked down and I wasn’t just handcuffed, but I was suddenly chained to the chair. When I looked up the male cop was jabbing a red hot poker in my face. I could feel the heat. I don’t know how it got hot, there was no fire. He said“Open your mouth and stick out your tongue, I’m going to burn a hole right through it. Then, you won’t be able to answer any questions, and I’ll get to torture you to death. I’m going to make it last months.”

I was so exhausted I'd just kind of pass out in bed, not take the patch off, and end up having these stress nightmares that I was lucid in, and thought they were real until shit eventually got so fucked up and weird that I would recognize I was in a nightmare, and then wake up out of bed gasping covered in cold sweat, start my day, and it would get fucking weird and dark again until I realized I had a false awakening IN my dream. Some of these would honestly go like 4 or 5 false awakenings deep, some real inception shit, and even when I finally actually woke up for real I didn't know if I could trust that I wasn't STILL dreaming.After three nights in a row of that happening I finally looked at the box of patches, saw that warning, and immediately had this massive weight come off my shoulders because I was starting to worry I was actually going crazy.

Sometimes they have dead ends, sometimes they keep going and get darker until I start hearing noises and turn back. A common theme in these dreams is that these passageways connect to other houses in the neighborhood and/or magically connect to other parts of the world.
I like how I can sometimes realize I'm dreaming and try to summon a pretty girl for sexy time and it doesn't happen, but I can float around or teleport into a casino
