Hollywood is continuing to use more AI for their works
>>
>>220916327
How is ai functionally any different than CGI ??? its not like films got way better when they started to rely on CGI for everything
>>
>>220916327
Using it to story board seems like a great idea as opposed to using it for actual footage
>>
The Irishman sure could have used more AI. That way De Niro might actually have looked the age he was meant to look.
>>
>>220916327
The plebs haven’t realized that technological progress is inevitable
>>
>>220916362
CGI always looked like miniature plastic dolls fighting each other. AI is objectively better.
>>
>>220916377
Using it to storyboard is having it write the movie for you. Its coming up with all the shots and scenes
>>
>>220916419
Ai isn't Computer Generated ?
>>
>>220916405
>not knowing about all the technological progress that we never got because elites hate us
hahahahaha stay blue pilled my friend
>>
>>220916405
The arrow of progress, like the arrow of time, is uni-directional.
>>
>>220916432
>always indians
nah
>>
>>220916432
You're splitting hairs. Computer graphics are getting better.
>>
>>220916424
Obviously he's not having AI come up with the shots and scenes. You just put the description of the shot into the AI and have it produce an image rather than draw it by hand. It's a fine use for the technology.
At some point, we're all going to have to reconcile with the fact that selection is the fundamental mechanism of art. It doesn't matter what medium the artist is selecting from.
>>
One day soon, computers will get so good at knowing us, individually, that they will be able to generate whatever pleases us the most.

AI already looks 100x better than modern CGI. people are fighting the wrong battle here. Instead, people should be fighting against grimdark color grading, and fighting for a return to shooting on film and the use of practical effects.
>>
>>220916550
this is never going to happen. I work with AI extensively and it's never ever going to have anything that resembles an artistic intuition. I work with programming models which are the most advanced and useful models out there and even those utterly fail to find any kind of creative solution to any problem or implementation. And they have already reached their ceiling in terms of context window.
>>
>>220916327
Here's that auteur I was telling you about
>>
>>220916605
TL;DR: I think AI should replace CGI, but CGI (and the AI that replaces it) should be limited.

Our reward for learning how to use it is having to explain it's a fucking parlor trick that won't integrate into film or animation pipelines to retards who insist their analogy about the Wright Brothers applies here
>>
>>220916474
Pro Ai people are splitting hairs
It's just CGI which I would be hard pressed to say it made movies any better.
>>
>>220916327
Based. Art lost. Theme park rides won.
>>
>>220916631
>his is never going to happen
I remember the days arguing with people on /sci/ about AI who all said the same thing.
I no longer listen to the nattering nabobs of negativism.
>>
>>220916791
if you haven't noticed that AI hasn't improved aesthetically for years now, well, I'm sorry your parents never took you to museums or made you take art classes. Your brain is incapable of artistic discerning.
>>
>>220916885
This is another thing they said. AI improves every day. But not to the notice of the average person.
>>
>>220916327
Oh no, technology!
>>
>>220916327
Crazy the only true filmmakers left are Tarantino, Paul T Anderson and Nolan while the boomers who grew up during the golden age of Hollywood like Lynch, Scorcese or Malick are like "fuck cinema".
>>
>>220916362
>How is ai functionally any different than CGI ???
CGI creates jobs, AI does not. People with useless art "skills" screech because they are easily replaced, and too retarded to know that CGI gets outsourced to pajeets.
>>
>>220916631
>if man were meant to fly, he'd have wings!"
Your argument is old and stale, redundant boy.

the absolute arbiter of cinema says ai is cinema
you pretty much can't argue with that
>>

>AI hasn't improved aesthetically for years now
What rock are YOU living under? Youtube itself is rife with examples. You're just a pitiful liar.

AI is a tool, the artistic intent is from the person using it
>>
>>220918021
Nice. Honestly, AI fan made stuff is all I look forward to these days. Fuck modern Hollywood.
>>
>>220918021
then why can none of you jeets ever "intend" anything that isn't just a slight remix of preexisting franchise slop?
>>

Everything humanity invents is a tool
But with each iteration, artistry falls further and further by the wayside. It's what happened with the invention of photography. This is a continuation of that.
>>
>>220918272
It only proves my intents correct. It is only just a tools when put in the hands of the better artists. I merely illustrate my point with famous works which is where we will see the most important of application.
>>
>>220918288
Very nice. Someone did full comic book story videos of GI Joe comics using the cartoon voices, and Hasbro copyright struck them all, fucking bastards. It was awesome hearing those voices again.
>>
>>220917754
i fucking hate how self important scgi artists are but i still hate ai as a writer. hypocritical but still
>>
>>220916327
Only delusional Redditors are narcissistic enough to think they can stop AI.
>>
>>220916424
There's a big difference between people that use AI to come up with ideas for them, and people that use AI to help bring their own ideas to fruition.
>>
>>220918021
Damn I'd love to see someone do some mock up scenes of what George Miller's Justice League might have looked like
>>
If you are against AI then you are retarded.
>>
>>220918422
>i still hate ai as a writer.
Dude, why??? AI is making me more interested in writing.

Every AI slop video I've seen (that wasn't cribbed from an existing comic or book) has been poorly written, like stupid mashups of different properties without any rhyme or reason, who cares if the A-Team meets Back to the Future unless the STORY is good.

AI NEEDS writers.Speaking of the A-Team, they never did get a final episode or a reunion movie. They need an awesome sendoff.
>>
>>220916327
Suddenly theme park rides aren't as bad huh?

>"heh, that shows you for criticizing my beloved IP slop"
>>
>>220918538
AI is pointless, that's why there's no AI writers. AI doesn't make anything you want. In order to apply AI, you cannot care about it's result at all. I don't care what boomers think, they're going to die and they've helped nobody. AI was created to be an extension for pajeet slaves. Pajeets are the most stupid and submissive race of... people? Ever. Now you understand the data centers and mass migration.
>>
>>220919002
I hope you're the first one lined up against the wall, you worthless idiot.
>>
>>220918538
i'm a luddite i also don't like normal cgi to be fair
>>
The terrifying thing I realised about the recent "AI" (generative LLM whathaveyou) stuff is that the ways people are falling for its bullcrap shows up how human cognition isn't much less rudimentary. Humanity really is a fatuous, idiotic animal with a hyperinflated sense of importance about itself.
>>
>>220917135
>and Nolan

Fuck off Chris
>>
This headline is proof that Marty is the GOAT at making obnoxious faggots on Twitter seethe with pure anger. He's my hero.
