The ending was what sealed it a misandry film. Every sign pointed to Bear killing Nikki and then having to live with the trauma of everything that happened. Bear didn't even do anything wrong. How was he supposed to know the goofy novelty item from a hippie store would actually work? What could he have done from that point on? The MDMA story made Nikki's initial behavior completely understandable, and after that he was in too deep. Also wanna say how bad the casting for Ian was. Pudgy dork with zero charisma. The movie was just okay, but the ending brought it to "bad".

It's almost like she's not even truly sentient, just made to ruin your life with wrong-headed interpretations of reality.
