I don't really see the need for rewinding. Either you watch it and then rewind it, or you rewind it and then watch it. You're rewinding either way.And, if the video store insists on rewinding, the tapes would probably have more longevity if everyone relied on the video store's dedicated rewinders instead of their own potentially shitty, cheap, consumer-grade VCRs.
