Also the Emperor's whole "new Sith Empire on an isolated planet" is conceptually the same as Vitiate's thing with the Eternal Empire in SWTOR.

>>220921332What such an adaptation must contend with is the fact that half the audience already knows the big twist going into it. Hollyjew of today would 100% try to subvert this, and any dimwitted subversion strategy they shit out would ultimately fall flat and probably ruin the whole thing. Like any time they focus on subversion, they lose sight of the bigger picture and the whole thing ends up being a mess. What they would need to do is accept the fact that people already know the story and simply focus on delivering a cinematic experience that follows the beats of the game and also resembles the feeling of the original movies - particularly episode 4 and 5. The game did a decent job of that already, so most of the groundwork is already laid out. Importantly I would probably start the movie out within a Revan/Malak flashback. These flashback scenes would be interspersed between the "present time" story, but it would be cut in such a way that it's not depicted like a flashback, it could seem like something that is happening simultaneously. Like in ESB you see Luke having his adventure and at the same time you periodically see Vader managing the empire and conversing with the emperor. Eventually of course it would become obvious that the flashback scenes aren't happening presently, even to the slow geriatrics, so around that time would be when Revan would be revealed and the flashbacks would end.
