You of course all know his work because as cinephiles, you're fluent in German (as we established last week).Anyway, she was a perfect fit for him and his dry sociopolitical humour. Great comedic timing as well.In the unlikely case anyone here hasn't already seen it, I recommend watching Ödipussi (1988) at the very least. It's timeless in its depiction of of the German "Spießbürgertum" and the general human experience of being unable to ever outgrow ones parents. Not high art, or course, it is comedic afterall. Nonetheless some quite effective visual storytelling choices.
