>Favourite comic actress?
Evelyn Hamann. Who starred in pretty much every single thing the German comic Loriot made. You of course all know his work because as cinephiles, you're fluent in German (as we established last week).
Anyway, she was a perfect fit for him and his dry sociopolitical humour. Great comedic timing as well.
In the unlikely case anyone here hasn't already seen it, I recommend watching Ödipussi (1988) at the very least. It's timeless in its depiction of of the German "Spießbürgertum" and the general human experience of being unable to ever outgrow ones parents. Not high art, or course, it is comedic afterall. Nonetheless some quite effective visual storytelling choices.

There is literally no reason to get existential angst, and fear of death is literally beaten by just doing shit instead of doing the le caucasian rumination. No one in poor or developing countries gets le existential angst because people are either trying to survive or just happy because they survived. Basically, there's a reason why people laugh at 1st world problems.

I think he might be bending over backwards to not offend anyone, simply because within the last few years in Germany, popular TV director Dieter Wedel had his reputation destroyed by getting meetoo'd over decades old "inappropriate behavious" one year before his death and trash-cinema director (and actor) Til Schweiger had a scandal over his drunken on-set tantrums scaring his actors. Wenders, whether or not he has any skeletons in his closet, might be genuinely scared.

It's funny because Kinski was cast in To the Devil, a Daughter on the basis of her role in Wrong Move, yet no one even cares about her full-frontal scene in that one. Curious how she never campaigned to get that film publicly pulled as well.
In contrast, Brooke is very open about her experience starring in Pretty Baby, stands by her controversial performance, and would likely campaign AGAINST having it pulled from distribution. Expect Criterion's Road Trilogy to go OOP soon.

>Filtered how?
By absurdly reducing the themes of the film in such a lazy way. For example, the shift from pessimism to vitalism, the transformation of characters within themselves but also upon others, etc.. You just focused on one theme you disliked a priori for eccentric reasons and concluded the film is of low value. Personally I advocate to always judge a work of art aesthetically, and not only morally.

I'm disappointed in them as well but in all honestly, it's not like the original is gonna disappear overnight. Anyone that wants to see Wrong Move will have no trouble either torrenting or buying secondhand. All of this is just creating FOMO for anyone that's ever wanted to see it (withdrawing it convinced me to download a copy myself lol)
>(remember she got her Tatort episode effectively nuked).
I actually wasn't aware of that until I saw it was released here under a different name.
>In February 2024, Nastassja Kinski demanded an apology for her nude scenes as a 15-year-old in this film.
Didn't you watch Cat People for the first time that month? Or was it January like me with Suspiria? I remember posting in at least one of your threads back in Feb '24.
Anyways, keeping it above board and on-topic, I always loved how androgynous Nas looks in this shot. Even Paul pointed it out himself on the commentary track.
