Is Silicon Valley really as bizarre as this show makes it out to be?
I only know 2 people who’s worked at Google and Microsoft for like 13-14 years and they both said the show is painfully accurate. Also turns out this retard billionaire is based on Mark Cuban, lmao
It was a product of its time when tech was actually a great career to have. Nowadays most CS grads and even those with experience are fighting for a 70k a year job that will inevitably be outsourced to India
Its heyday was 90s-00s. Would have been so exciting to be there at that time, before it got too overpopulated.
The pilot episode portraying tech parties as being lame as fuck made Elon Musk sperg out and go on a tirade about how wild silicon valley parties are irl. But after the first season he admitted it’s a great show and mostly accurate
I somehow didn't know this show existed until very recently and now binged it all. What other funny shows do I not know about?

The thing it gets wrong is the women, but the show needed a real love interest so it's understandable. The only decent women I ever met doing startups was the wife of an African remittance fintech company. Beautiful, gracious, lovely woman.

This show could've been an all timer. But first, the actor playing the autist from season 1 dies and he was pretty good. And then the curly hair weirdo implodes and gets written out of the show, and he was way too important, especially to the chinese character who completely stopped being funny after he left. It's a shame.
