>Kills Finn as a character in the process, making him a clown
This was a movie made by a Star Wars hater, for Star Wars haters.
That's why it got good critic reviews.
>>
>>220940119
Supreme Leader Snoke is officially confirmed to be an artificial, genetically engineered being known as a "strand-cast" created on Exegol by Darth Sidious. While Snoke possessed a fully independent mind and powerful Force sensitivity, his primary existence was as a proxy and puppet manipulated by Palpatine's dark essence

That's not all.

>I thought when I read the script that Holdo would be wearing a uniform, so I did some uniform designs and showed them to Rian and he said, “Oh no, no, no, no. She’s flirting with Oscar Isaacs’ character, I don’t want her to be in a uniform, I want her to be unique and almost balletic.” He said, “I’d like to see her body and her body language, and her silhouette, and have her be more feminine.” So I started thinking about feminine balletic design, and something kind of Greek, which made me start thinking about jersey, and then I started thinking about Madame Gres. So that’s where that came from.

The whole movie is some sort of a fetish thing
>>
>>220940177
Lmao
>>
The sequels are not cannon
>>
>>220940401
No, he’s not a genius writer. He’s effectively an anti-genius. His go-to strategy is to basically have his “smartest” characters declare “smart thing is stupid” and proceed to dismiss it. It’s either this or what he did in “Looper,” where he has them dismiss the intricacies of time travel as something “better not to think about” because it saves him from having to think it through, which he clearly didn’t.
>>
>>220940612
I remember clearly when Holdo appears for the first time and everybody started laughing in the theater. Laura Dern has a fantastic career but she looks like a deranged tranny in this with the purple hair and the cheap contacts.
>>
>>220940029
JJ ruined it
>>
>>220940029
Who cares, Snoke dying was the single interesting moment he had in the trilogy anyway. It's not like JJ had a plan for him.
>>
>>220940401
He has very very cool concepts, but he is bad at writing them into a good full film.
Luke turning away from the Jedi and clashing with Kylo and then dying to him COULD be cool, but it wasn't done very well.
Looper and Knives out have extremely cool concepts going and are very well directed, but the scripts and dialogue are largely shit.

the sequel trilogy landed just as the mask-off era was beginning. we're at a point where anti consumer behaviour is open and people happily make excuses for it as they get assfucked. Yes. Snoke is pointless.
He's yet another of Abram's "mystery boxes".
To demand that someone else come in and fill your ugly misshaphed box for you is preposterous. Throwing it out is the best you can do if you're presented with such a Snoke box. And if by throwing it out you can grow an actual character into an actual villiain, that's going above and beyond.
Of course, manbabies on youtube don't get that. They were stupid enough to fall for the empty mystery box.

>Knives Out trilogy is brilliant
It's nice enough, but I hope he moves on from it sooner rather than later. Limiting himself to one specific genre can't be satsifying, no matter how much money it earns him.
Frankly, his best projects were those where he had full control and could experiment without having to care for any studio or audience expectations. Brothers Bloom was where he excelled. Ideally he'd go back to something like that.

>Kingdom of Wessex — used the fyrd system, a form of compulsory military levy requiring free men to serve.
>Kingdom of Mercia — relied on conscripted regional militias similar to the fyrd.
>Carolingian Empire — imposed military obligations on landholders and freemen under Carolingian law.
>Byzantine Empire — used the thematic system, where soldiers were recruited through land-based military obligations.
>Kingdom of Alba — kings could call levies from clans and regional territories for warfare.
>Kievan Rus' — princes mobilized militia levies from towns and subject populations.
>Umayyad Caliphate of Córdoba — maintained conscripted and obligated military forces alongside professional troops.
>Kingdom of Ireland — Irish rulers summoned clan levies and obligated warriors during campaigns.

Disney zionist kikes fucked up hard by going too ambitious too quickly. They understood nothing about Star Wars and immediately got to work thinking they could delete everything in existence and create something better. Kathleen Kennedy was to blame and she’s such a fucking dumb bitch but it seems they learned their lesson because the sequel trilogy has for all intents and purposes been completely written off and ignored for everything that came after.

The smaller scale Disney miniserieses can be seen as the actual continuation and successor to Lucas’s vision.

David Filoni being put at the helm is a wise decision for continuing the Star Wars franchise as Lucas intended
>>
>>220946955
>Fucking Ackbar
was a character that the audience would immediately trust and take the his side over Poe's. How fucking retarded do you have to be to understand that Holdo was brought in as a complete unknown exactly because the audience wasn't supposed to trust in her and her decisionmaking and at the very least be torn, if not outright on Poe's side. And considering how many retards still cannot see that Poe was wrong even after the film was over, it worked as intended.
Ackbar would not have worked in that role. Neither would Leia.

>Are they saying somebody went back to the cloud city and recovered his fucking hand?
Is yes.
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Luuke_Skywalker
Skywalker's hand and lightsaber were recovered by Vader and taken to Emperor Palpatine's Mount Tantiss storehouse on the planet Wayland. In 9 ABY, the insane clone Jedi Master Joruus C'baoth performed a mind trick on Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn's subordinate, Captain Gilad Pellaeon, ordering him to make a special clone for him. The clone that later became Luuke Skywalker was grown in secret from sample B-2332-54, the sorting code assigned to Luke Skywalker's hand. The clone was grown in a Spaarti cloning cylinder over the period of less than a month. When he was ready, the clone was given Jedi training by C'baoth and over time became little more than an extension of C'baoth's will.

nta but the EU is pretty bad. Some cool ideas here and there but the rest is absolute garbage. If you want something really good from the EU, try the Boba Fett comic by John Wagner and Cam Kennedy.

I mean, I also find it hard to believe that any girl would fall for Finn. But they were stuck with the actor from episode 7, and you don't just rewrite your script because the last director miscast a role.

That's what he was hired to do. Don't like it, don't take the job.

I didn't even bother to catch up with theories back then but they can't be worse than the actual plot

Even with the shitty 'Force Awakens' the franchise could have made a recovery, but this Moon-headed faggot fucked Disney's initial trilogy into the dirt so nobody could fix it - least of all that fuckhead Abrams.

They should have shit-canned his entire film and wrote it off to save the franchise and their precious $4 billion investment. The money spent on one movie is nothing compared to what Disney could have made if they cut shit like that.

One of the things you can hope about AI reducing production costs is they'd be able to show, test, and compare multiple practically completed versions of a film from different writers/directors before actual release. Hell, a writer could jigger up their own reels to sell their script quite easily.

Instead of having multiple hired and fired directors under studio supervision, and spending money on reshoots, just get a bunch of different fags to write a sequel, wind them up and let them go. See who gets the best results. I doubt Rian would fare very well under those circumstances. I'm hoping some other fags will make their own 'Backrooms' movies independently and really prove this point, that multiple people coming at shit from different angles will not only result in sectors of the audience having their own preferences, but that absolute indisputable kino can come out of nowhere.

There will be more shitty films, but the cream will rise to the top. The studios will lose because they should have already been filtering the shit instead of signing their name to it. If some anonymous fag wants to make their own better copyright-violating Star Wars films and can get away with it, I'll watch them and Disney can go suck it as far as I'm concerned. If they can't treat the franchise properly, use it to push their repugnant agenda, don't expect me to care if someone with talent effectively takes it over.

Fun fact, the beer jacket actually exists and it works. It sucks, sleeves don't look that way, and I would never drink from it, but it's a real thing that you can buy

Too bad Kylo Ren was too pathetic to ever be a believable villain.
