Just someone randomly getting attacked and killed 1 minute into the video. No pacing, no tension, just a guy getting immediately killed.But if you don't know what backrooms are, it's just fucking retarded. Just a guy in a yellow room with no explanation getting killed by something. It completely fails to sell the concept of backrooms, it doesn't show you ''this place is unnatural, it's infinite,'' it's a guy getting killed in a yellow room which immediately tells you that this movie is about monsters.The movie in general completely failed to sell the backrooms. The only reason you know what it is, is because you saw the youtube videos. The backrooms seem small and only seem to made up of a few rooms related to memories of the characters who entered the backrooms.The start of the movie primes you to think this is a monster movie.

As far as the viewer knows it's a few dozen rooms you can access with a portal. It doesn't even sell the idea that these backrooms are something otherworldly, it just looks like something that was built, because it was built. That impossible scale of ''what the fuck is this? no human could make something like this'' or the youtube videos is gone. Not only could humans make this but they did make this.To even understand what they were going for you have to be familiar with backrooms.
