you would feel a sense of ownership over it, having it be connected to the building. i never thought of that aspect.
but most likely he was just renting the building. still, it's an interesting thought. much different when you feel in control of it like that, rather than just finding it in some random location you stumbled upon.
>>
there should have been dead girls everywhere
thats what my backrooms would be like
>>
>>220953992
That's unironically what the best part of Barbarian was about.
>>
why do mutts cry about muh heckin dead malls but when I go to shopping centers they're suffocatingly full of people? If I go to the capital I literally want to kill myself from the crowds but even in my town they're full of people. Do Americans just not leave their house for some reason?
>>
>>220954198
i was thinking about this the other day
i think its just a way to complain about brown hordes without being outright racist
>>
>>220953992
Didn't the SCP Foundation set up an operating base in there?
>>
I would have just walled up the parts where the monsters live and rented out the rest. I don't know where this film is set, but in any somewhat big city this would easily make you a millionaire, especially if there's a university in town.
>>
>>220954338
Oh no, they're not the SCP foundation anon!
They just secure the backrooms from people getting in and contain all the areas from being found, protecting people from these backroom entities.

Oh wait...
>>
>>220954482
Hm, seems like a good idea for a sequel
There's 50+ families living in a small building, not realizing that the space doesn't make sense
>>
This movie has afro-americans featured in it? Gross. I think I'll pass. Thanks for the warning, anon.

I don't understand this film. On the one hand, there is a black MC, which is bad and pozzed. But on the other hand, he is getting criticizes by a woman for his toxic masculinity, which makes me focus on the fact that he is a man rather than his blackness, and which makes him sympathetic.

He's so fucking out of place, just liek the nigger in the so-called silent hill game coming out.
Niggers literally CAN'T exist in psychological horror. Especially like this, liminal spaces and scotlant.

A friend of mine discovered his Kike landlord wired up other shit in the building to his flat's metered power supply, so he was paying for other shit in the building.

At the start of this film they were starting to make it sound like this N was paying to power the Backrooms or something.

Imagine doing your 'free real estate' scheme and then getting fucked at the end of the month by an infinity power bill lol.

I was annoyed they kept forcing the therapist character into it. I was actually liking Clark but then he stops being the main character in his own movie. You could tell this guy was a Youtube director because he couldn't think of a full movie worth of plot.
>>
>>220955684
Yeah, hard to have convincing existential dread when you don't even have a time preference beyond 18 seconds from now.

Funny part is he's running from the monster and leaves, but then realises he violated the N-code and has to come back and steal shit. I'm sure there are videos of N's getting shot at by a convenience store clerk who have got killed IRL doing the same thing.

I'd be worried about fags from the other boards being in there with me. I'd hope the first manifestations I came across were from /k/ so I could use them on all the sickos - especially those mentally ill faggots from /n/, (God I hate those motherfuckers).

Someone should make a 4chan Backrooms film based on that though, where you go into different areas and there's appropriately weird shit.

Then you find out the simple way to leave the Backrooms is go to the /tv/ area and post some shit that triggers the tranny-jannies and get banned, (because /tv/ jannies are the most easily triggered pussy fucks), but if you fuck it up and use half-measures you wind up in /bant/ with a whole bunch of fags from /pol/ engaged in a non-stop war.

You just set up a gus fring super meth lab in the basement, use the furniture store to launder the money, so you could eventually just buy up the whole block.
If any monsters show up you just get them hooked and use them to push your product into multiple dimensions.

I am, yeah. The basic premise is that a documentary film maker discovers an infinitely expanding hallway inside his new house. Being a documentarian and seasoned adventurer, he decides to hire a support crew and launch a series of expeditions into said hallway.
>>
Meh, wasnt amazing
You can tell the director is an amateur
>>
>>220957256
But ... but ... you can't sustain a movie with a bunch of fags just walking through a bunch of weird hallways ... says the studiofag ... so we have to add a bunch of [this standard Hollywood bullshit] to inject 'teh drama'.

Even though:
>Cube (1997)
>Hypercube (2002)
Arguably more so they're dealing with the weird environment itself that doesn't make any sense, (in 3-dimensions at least).
>The Descent (2005)
They're already in the caves by the 30 minute mark and stay in there for the rest pretty much. Comparable because confined environment where they can't be sure what they'll come across next. Weird creepy shit and mostly unseen entities.
>Blair Witch (1999)
Which has been compared to this movie before, even just for budget vs box office reasons, but you could easily rejigger it with them stuck in an outside Backrooms level where nothing makes logical sense and you might as well kick the useless fucking map into the creek.

Yeah, therapist should have never appeared after Clark left her office to get proof. If you wanna make her the lead in the sequel, go ahead. This was supposed to the nigga's story and it just gives up on him. It even timeskips his spiral to insanity. I would've ended the movie once the pirate creature picks up the camera.
>>220958212
No clue. My theory is maybe only people actually inside the backrooms get blood copies. Everyone else gets white goop because they are based on memories, so the backrooms can't replicate their insides.
>>
>>220958145

>>
>>220958145
>giant fligugigu copy appears
Honestly, I would watch that
>>
>>220955158
So far in the rest of the series pretty much nothing was known about the weird copy people so everything in the movie is a reveal to the audience who has been following the series
>>
>>220955846
If you had an IQ above 80 you might have picked up on the whole bit where Clark's version of events with his wife are almost certainly false.
>>
>>220958663
NTA but I didn't really pay attention to that because there was no payoff to it. The therapist just kinda tells the audience that it's all Clark's fault his life sucks. I think they would have done better showing Clark go crazy and having to confront the twisted copy of what actually happened. See the giant pirate beating his wife's copy and we as an audience connect that back to how he claimed he acted in therapy.
>>
>>220958789
if you had an IQ above 80 the wife copy being terrified of him and running scared shitless when the big pirate showed up was that part.

I would like the sequel to involve a discovery that the copies in the backroom are made out of a material that has significant energy generating properties, but you need to harvest them so we get to see a postmodern critique of heterosexual white male imperialist privilege as we watch various companies go into the backrooms to harvest them so innocent copies within.

>>220962230
He was stuck in the past so he was just living and seething. The red head was clearly his wife and he was playing house with her clone. The painting was made by Clark so he saw the pirate as an extention of himself and was feeding it people or clones. He'd just snapped and was enjoying playing god.

That's kinda what I want to see. Perhaps he would explore the backrooms with the pirate looking for other people who got lost inside. How did you guys get filtered by this? The Pirate is the Backroom's basest impression of Clark. Its held back by the fact that up until the dinner scene, Clark is retaining the tiniest sliver of a notion that He can change. It's infinite, there's bound to be tons of normal to slightly normal furniture. A slightly bigger couch isn't a problem and a smaller one is just a love seat. That stool he took was normal and not stuck. That room of couches the therapist found was a gold mine.

> the whole bit where Clark's version of events with his wife are almost certainly false.
When he enters the Christmas room the female still life shrieks at him while clutching the side of her head which is more evidence. Maybe he hit her and he agreed to give up the house rather than have that known publicly?

actually watched his youtube stuff, and it's sad how sanitized the feature was compared.
Extremely boring sets and way less interesting characters.
Would have been cool to just follow an Async team on a deeper expedition

He "fed" the pirate his employees.

The pirate assumed he was going to feed Mary to it. When he let Mary go thats when he turned on clark and chased Mary

My take on the scene was that the pirate was an amalgam of memories about Clark and right before it shows up, he's acting erratic, violent, and aggressive towards Mary. He's a big stupid pirate because that's how his employees and everyone who has seen his commercials remembers him. He's a violent, people eating retard because that's how Mary remembered him in the moment.
