What the fuck did I just watch? It felt like a completely different show.
>>220971233Based on clips and reviews and threads on 4chan of this series i assume it's a show about shitty inner city American school kids (think all the sad retards fom The Wire, but they're in High School and most of them are white and ""sexy""") ergo, as poor hood kids they all turn to crime and whoring themselves out for money. Of course, this is romanticized or something because the writers are cucks or whatever.
>>220971415In season 3 they're not school kids anymore, it's after a time jump so they're all in their early 20s and it's a straight up crime drama. An absurd but enjoyable one.
>>220971925Fascinating, what about the "The Wire but sexy" statement is that accurate or is it different?
>>220971233Me too... what the hell is this show even about? From the outside looking in, the show started as some hyper-realistic version of Degrassi or 90210...stupid kids strung out on their own anxieties...Then ended like it was Breaking Bad.
>>220971940Not all of them are poor. One of them starts working for drug traffickers because she's deeply in debt to one of them, so that one kinda counts.Other main characters have theoretically lucrative jobs but made the mistake of getting involved with criminal loan sharks, or being vapid and wanting their wedding to have unnecessary expensive decorations. So that's a bit different
>>220972021So it kinda is like the Fast n Furious arc of street racers to international action heroes?
>>220972021The core theme is addiction, whether to a drug (hence the title) or something else. That's the one element tying the whole thing together
its a shit trash show for the low IQ fat and brown (You)

>>220971233I agree, it was way too silly with Nate's storyline in particular. He was depicted as some 6'5" intimidating Chad in earlier seasons and now he's screaming and running away from these guys who look smaller than him. I think it would have been way better if that scene where the guy breaks the window and chases him up to the bathroom that Nate had a hidden handgun there and killed him AND THEN him ending up buried underground would at least have been plausible as retaliation/esclation.

>>220973862>chad peaked in highschool and encounters the consequences of the real worldSounds about right
>>220971233why didnt they call the police? they did nothing illegal. all nate did was take a loan for his construction business, right?
>>220973914Pretty sure that guy was a loan shark
>>220973862>He was depicted as some 6'5" intimidating Chad in earlier seasons and now he's screaming and running away from these guys who look smaller than him. "oh no he's a chad, we can't shoot him!"The only time he used a gun before was on Maddy, and it was his dad's gun he used for a threat. He's never been shown as being able to actually use it or capable of taking down a threat like that, the entire season is all these characters fucking up because they're retards who mostly peaked in high school or are coasting off their high school roles and cannot deal with actual shady shit.
