Kane's daddy gave away his kid to a24. Any other recent prominent examples of industry plant nepo baby director?
>>220972543if only your dad was that supportive about your passions
>>220972687>passionsoh, right>you have none
>>220972543This Kane Pixels nigga is absolutely not just one single teenager. There is absolutely no fucking way one teenager made those original backrooms shorts on youtube. He has money behind him from the start.
>>220972783>people can't be talented because... they just can't, okay!!
>>220972783Yeah he had a dad who worked on games, so he had a high end PC and access to tools and render farms as a kid. That's all you need, it's not some conspiracy.
My dad owes me $1300 he will never pay back love ya pops
>>220972834Sure he's talented, but a lot of talent is bolstered by learning the creative arts at a young age, and having a dad in the industry will give you a huge head start. I know his dad says he "taught himself," but I guarantee you that his dad, if he is a good dad (which, at least based on this post, he seems to be), was helping teach him this stuff when he was a little kid. An adult trying to learn 3D modeling and animation would not be able to come anywhere close to Kane's skill level in the amount of time it took him, and might never achieve the same level, just like a kid who learns a second language will likely develop a greater natural fluency than and adult trying to learn the same language will ever achieve.
>>220972783>>220972834>>220972877Pretty sure he recruited an army of guys on Discord who helped him out with the CGI for free too.

>>220973030Fair enough. I agree that having a dad who works as a VFX artist gave him a big head start in terms of the tools he would need to make something like the original shorts, as well as having someone be genuinely supportive of the work you do, I just found it a little disingenuous to discount all the effort he must have placed in by himself as "He was lucky, he had money behind him".He could have just as easily squandered the opportunity he was given, but given that he was uploading other creative works unrelated to the big break that was The Backrooms as far back as 8 years ago, you can't deny it took a little effort to get him to where he is.
>>220972687He was, it's we both have follow up issues and I am incredibly lazy
>>220972543Yeah his dad that worked at a washed game company(telltale) that shut down definitely had an in at Hollywood
Why are millenitards so jealous.
>>220973451i'm pretty sure it's zoomers filling all social media with whining that boomers had it too easy
So, zoomers were all against nepotism but the moment one zoomer benefits from it, they're all for it?
>>220973030Chill blender is not hard to learn there's hundreds of kids that replicate the same exact stuff
>>220972543>Self-made talent pulled up by his own bootstraps>Actually daddy just used his industry connectionsTale as old as time
>>220973630>>220973561>>220973508it doesn't matter much. whether Kane is talented or not will be revealed by his own subsequent movies.
>>220972543Kane is eternal, he has no parents.
>>220973682No? That's the entire point. The foundational step up will always be in play. It mattered from the start and it will continue to matter going forward.
>>220972783He’s Jewish
>>220972783>He has money behind him from the start.Ex-Telltale dev as a father is barely above a Walmart greeter. None of the employees were paid severance after getting booted from the company.
