I enjoyed Exit 8. You might enjoy it too. That is all.
>>
>>220973505
I haven't seen the other 7 movies, should I watch those first?
>>
>>220973540
the 8 is actually the infinity sign
>>
>>220973540
There's a pretty good recap in the beginning and everything else you need to know is told in flashbacks.
>>
>>220973505
I liked it. I wonder how the Japanese liked it though since the entire message is to break modern society's bug programming and herd mentality.
>>
>>220973588
To be fair, we could use that message in the states too.
>>
>>220973505
its just a silent hill/jacobs ladder movie and thats fine because its good
>>
>>220973610
I know, it just seems especially contrary to Asian culture. I dun wan no trabu kind of thing.
>>
>>220973658
I did get some of that message, but a lot more of it is the apprehensive dad theme. I had no idea this was a video game, so that's kind of a wholesome plot to throw on top of it.
>>
>>220973588
Wrong, the message is that being a dad is hecking awesome and more people should have kids
>>
>>220973699
>>220973747
It's the same message. He didn't feel that he deserved to be a father since he valued things like comfort and convenience over more manly ideals like integrity and justice. Protecting a child against all odds when he didn't "have to" showed him that he does have that potential, as well as how fulfilling it is.

Not my problem
>>
I liked it
Didn't really understand the final part tho, did the flooding just not happen?
>>
>>220974099
It was a test and he passed.
>>
>>220974099
It was a real anomaly and served as a vehicle for the lost guy's growth in selflessness.
>>
>>220974122
>>220974125
I see
I was kinda half watching at that point while talking with my cousin who'd been looking at his phone for most of the movie.
>>
>>220973505
I watched it without knowing it was an adaptation of a game, still really enjoyed it, thought it built atmosphere and tension incredibly well and conveyed that the MC was being tested
>>
>>220973610
As bad as retards can be, dude yelling at the woman in the beginning would have been slapped out the window on an American train.
>>
>>220973505
id rather watch buckrooms
>>
it was okay from what i remember but nothing that i'd recommend people to watch
>>
>>220973980
what do you think happened there friend
>>
>>220973505
it was ok but they should have stuck to the horror instead of hamfisting in some pathetic message about taking responsibility or something

So you've never seen any footage from New York or San Francisco or quite frankly any major american city public transport

i can't tell if nana komatsu is hot or not. it seems like it.
>>
>>220975976
Who?
>>
>>220973505
It's just spot the difference with added Escher mate
>>
>>220973588
ah I can see why gaijin critics loved it now
>>
>>220976265
The spook part is a fun idea but it felt a little too sanitized to be horror.
>>
>>220973588
Faggot's talk.
>>
>>220976265
The video game was spot the difference, the movie turned it into a story about repetition and being aware of anomalies. It's the opposite of the three monkeys see no evil, naibun, etc. there's a tendency to ignore problems if pointing them out would compromise harmony. The message was lost on me because people here intervene in everything, whether you want them to or not.

The lead actress in the movie. She's from south Japan and looks kind of like a pacific islander. Like with most actresses from Japan they'll look completely different based on the make up they use, you can see two pictures of her and she'll look entirely different sometimes.
>>
>>220975375
That's different. She was racist because she wasn't sucking black cock.
