So for the anons living under a rock, amazon has pulled the plug on the new stargate show that was in the works. The reason given was that they did not think it would pull in a new audience and only please the old fans.So to translate, it was not woke enough and they fired the writers for having the audacity for trying to make a scfi show that appealed to the old fans.
I can understand not wanting to finance a brandnew TV series, but a 90 min one-off movie surelywould've ignited the fires of interest, in thefranchise, for newbies.

And turning our back to the old fans only ends in disaster and a several decade long scfi franchise dying. To repeat something i read a while ago, these people fail to see that you first need to get the old fans back on board, and with the old fans word of mouth you pull in the new fans.
