Is the Mandalorian and Grogu worth watching?I tuned out of the Star Wars franchise years ago so I would have to binge the Mandalorian series first. I just feel like watching something on a big IMAX screen and right now all they're showing is this flick.

>>220978251It's really good, I just got back from watching it. You don't need to watch the show necessarily to understand what's happening, it's pretty much a self contained story. I've only seen the first season, and am working through the second. It's a very nice movie, I had a lot of fun.

It starts off heavy action with Mando just kicking ass, shooting, blowing stuff up, cutting their heads off, stabbing people, using spaceships, etc and that runs for about the whole first hour and then Grogu has his own part where he gets to protect MandoI honestly liked it more than a lot of the other Star Wars movies

I was tired it for after an hour. Is just constant action scenes and not good ones. Every enemy is a retard incapable of hitting their shots at point blank. The only competent enemy was the bounty hunter with the dog. The rest were fodder. When a TV show gets a movie, usually the stakes are higher, something bigger happens, a shocking event. Nothing happened in this fucking movie. They hinted multiple times that Mando could die for real this time but they solved it in 5 minutes. Movie felt it was made for toddlers.
Ermmmm yes fellow 4channeler the “Mandalorian and Grogu” in imax (2026) is one of this years surefire box office hits! I loved Pedro Pascal as the titular character! 10/10!!
>>220978987Yeah, speaking of Rotta, I thought despite his unconventional size he was a great character and a good addition to the post-Empire setting. His introduction scene in the arena as bad ass. I knew about Rotta going into the movie and thought it would be stupid to see a giant slug fight on screen but it was actually really good.
