>Stable town life>everyone is genuinely happy>"coloureds" show up>almost immediately the nuclear family disintegrates>rampant teenage promiscuity>violence in the streets>social cohesion unravelsDespite being so heavy-handed in it's messaging, this film really isn't the powerful condemnation of segregation it thinks it is. I know the more violent elements begin because the "white" characters start reacting violently to the "coloureds" but if you saw your entire world start falling apart because of a small but spreading disruptive element you'd have some negative reactions as well.I still enjoy the movie though.Worth noting that all the problems start because a woman refuses to fit in with the larger society.
