His seeming inability to conquer grilled cheese or a burger make me wonder if he's actually retarded. They're relatively easy even for any home chef. Make either of them 5-10 times and actually pay attention to what works and what doesn't, and you can make a great grilled cheese or burger. And I don't buy the "Ackshually he's used to gourmet cooking", because most of his fuckups were basic foundational stuff like how heat transfers to a thick piece of food while pan-frying.
