Finally watched Reloaded, this might be one of the most kino scenes of all time. Can't believe this filtered so many people.
>>220984904ergo vis a vis concordantly
>>220984904colonel sanders ahh outfit
>>220984904Yes it is
>>220984904The characters are telling exactly what is happening or what will happen but in a verbose manner and people just don't get it. Even the Oracle scenes are the same.
People went for the whiz-bang special effects yet the philosophy of the movies was interwoven into the story and action in the first one better, as opposed to being sat down and told exposition and wordswordswordswordswordswords to make everything make sense.
>>220984904i love the matrix but this is the polar opposite of kino, it's a guy reciting the exact story and true nature of the matrix purely with dialogue instead of just showing these things on the fucking screen. and it occupies like 10 minutes of the runtime or some shit. i rewatch the series every other year or so and i usually just play around on my phone or jerk off when this scene comes on because i fucking get it already. it has no replay value and it's also just not great the first time either.
>>220984966forsooth.irrevocably.concordantly. surreptitiously. precipitously.
>>220984904if i was neo, i wouldve beat that old mans ass to a bloody pulp
so, it simulated and created all the ultra-degenerate porn neo was whackin it to every night inbetween searches for morpheus and the truth and his dayjob? all those freaky pornstars like hotkinkyjo and the alien chest burster shit was just made up?
>undoes all the drama and sense of accomplishment of the ending of the first movie for a cheap twistThe Wachowski trannies being trannies should have never been a surprise. They're hacks which is why they hacked their dicks off.
>>220984966>>220985384His flowery speech is actually a metaphor for a human mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of the program before him.
>the scene is LITERALLY a dude sitting in a chair and explaining things, point by point>"Omg it's SO CONFUSING!!!"I legitimately do not understand some people's mental-processes when it comes to arriving conclusions like that. It's about as non-confusing a plot revelation could possibly ever be. He's LITERALLY sitting there explaining shit and how it works, verbally, directly to Neo in the reality of the film, but nondiegetically he's speaking just as directly to the audience themselves. That's almost "cheating" when it comes to how direct and simple a movie narrative is allowed to be when it comes to giving the audience information. And people are somehow still "confused" by it from what I see.Are that many people genuinely baffled by the use of even just moderately unusual words like "ergo" and "vis-à-vis"? Is that really all it took? Fucking seriously? I know those words aren't necessarily a part of super-common parlance, but I knew what both of those terms meant back when I was a literal middle-schooler.
Bothers me that his facial hair below his lower lip angles off to the side. The asymmetry sticks out in a way it shouldn't for a computer program.
>>220984904Revolutions and Reloaded have a lot of cool concepts and scenes I really liked (mostly inside the Matrix) But the films together aren't great and they do miss the magic of the first one They aren't terrible but they are't cherished classics either.Almost like the Prequels
>>220985870Bro, your not as smart as you think you are if you haven't realized how stupid the average person is. To anyone with a 140+ IQ the average person (100 IQ) is going to seem like a fucking downie retard (60 IQ). If you haven't figured out that we live in a world of retards, your verbosity is just schmaltz.

>>220985381it is presented that way because the architect is 100% logic driven. there is no fluff or creativity with him, he gets shit done with a brutal machinelike efficiency. it contrasts well with the oracle scenes, which are supposed to be comfy as fuck and feel "human" because she was coded to understand human nature. whereas the architect is a severe, cold man barking orders in an empty room, the oracle takes the form of a benevolent grandma baking you delicious cookies in a warm kitchen and gently guiding you with sage advice. the contrast is intentional because the entire trilogy is a chess match between the architect and the oracle for the survival of the machines

>>220984904It really is, you have to be intelligent to understand all the data being blasted at you, not simply because he uses unorthodox verbage. It's probably the biggest and most crucial exposition dump in the trilogy.
