There's an angle nobody has done with Backrooms yet and it's "what would happen if one of the scientists/researchers family members goes missing and there's confirmation that they slipped through reality and are stuck inside the Backrooms?" But I think this movie may not need a sequel because it was bland. Not bad. Bland.

I guess the series Kane made on his channel will be the biggest source of inspiration. But what else can they do with the concept? The monster has been captured. The therapist has been rescued. Will it be from the company's and researchers perspective?

it's more of an artistic take on the original concept because it ties the backrooms to a psychological theme rather than just a random infinite space that you get lost in and explore. So I guess people think it lost some of the appeal that way.

I heard that Kane Parsons went on the record of saying Clark managed to get some stuff right, but he we was also projecting a lot of his own theories onto the Backrooms which wasn't entirely correct. He did not specify which pieces of info though.

if that's the case, Clark was probably mostly, if not entirely, wrong about the Still Lifes. I don't know why people that watch this are so concerned with the psychology of Pirate Clark when we get little indication of sapience in Still Lifes, much less anything past Pavlovian instinct.
