Seasons 1-3 are so much better than 4-6 that it's wild, like it feels like a differnet show. I fucking hate how heavilu seasons 4-5 focus on the cartel and basically turn the show into Breaking Bad 2.0 except more boring because we already know what happens to every character.First few seasons were cool and fun because they felt like small-scale episodic stories of a whacky lawyer and his friends, family and rivals, which is exactly what I wanted with a Saul prequel. The moment Chuck kills himself and Vince leaves as showrunner, the show drops off a fucking cliff. The finale is S-tier but everything before that sucks. The show really should have commited to the concept of the episodic format and more comedic tone as Vince originally wanted.
>>220987269seriously one of the best shows ever
>>220990196When I first watched it I was of the same sentiment. Now on the rewatch I think the cartelshit is actually needed. I'd much rather watch Lalo and Nacho fucking around in between the lawyer scenes than Mike doing DIY projects and listening to baseball matches.
>>220987269And it is still far more enjoyable than the entirety of Breaking Bad. The show only goes downhill once it starts aping the BB cartel plotline.
