>"What if I told you insane was working 50 hours a week in some office for fifty years, at the end of which they tell you to piss off? Ending up in some retirement village, hoping to die before suffering the indignity of trying to make it to the toilet on time. Wouldn't you consider that to be insane?"
>>
I will stop working when I'm 40.
>>
Knowing that I'll die next year is both terrifying and beautiful. Not sure if there's a word for it, peace but no peace; a sense of true power unleashed for there's nothing to lose? Anyway, not having to slave away or rot in a retirement prison sound great. Got some movies and games to finish and then I'll spend the rest of my time hiking, no women, no foreigners, no bosses, pure bliss ...except shitting in the woods.

That's great, bro. What do you propose as alternative for your average person that has mental capacity for exactly that sort of menial modern work?
>>
>>220990080
>at the end of which they tell you to piss off?
I think people like this should be given a free year of survival in a wilderness area to reset their expectations.
>>
>>220990290
good luck with that

we're seeing the same problem in countries with stronger social systems
>why does marta have such a low pension? it's not decent living!
because financial illiterate marta worked minimum wage jobs her entire life, and some were on the sly without contributions. what kind of pension was she hoping for?
>>
>>220990322
Why are you dying anon? Are you pulling a Chris mccandless on purpose? Why not just live like that hermit guy who broke into houses for years if you’ve gonna die anyway

if you shit in the woods are you going to continue to smear the shit all over your ass or will you wash off in the creek?

>Do one of my clinical semesters in an elder care facility
We spent way too much time extending how long people live without thinking about the quality of life they have, some of these people are truly just assisted living, others are people who've been bodily immobile for years and should have been allowed to die.

turns out the reason i have electricity, central heating, clean water and cheap food is because some nigga out there gets up every day and goes to work.

You don't realise how much the toilet bowl amplifies the noise until you're doing it in the woods

>I'll die next year
I wish this was me. I'd just use my savings to travel and party like an animal. Instead, I have to be responsible and "smart" and "healthy" all the time. Miserable gay world.

Not him, but I'm on track to retire by the time I'm 45. But I may stay part time for the benefits until I'm 50-55 because I have a cake job that pays well.

ut I'm actually good with money and responsible, unlike children that failed the marshmallow test their entire life and project their inability to retire onto me.

To me it's insane to keep going to a job you really hate. Why do people do it? I think there's something in you when you're young that makes you just follow things people say and others also do. When you start school you're too young to decide what you want to do yourself. And you're literally forced to go there. Which by the way I'm sure at one point in the future, humanity will see that it's child abuse. Anyway, you grow older and you still follow the same habits but eventually you might wake up. My high school was pointless and boring, I just sat there every day waiting for it to end so I could go home. At some point I realized I could just skip school, nobody really cared. I didn't stop going completely, but I started just going home when I felt like it. It's the weirdest feeling. I still dream of it.

Public school IS abuse for autistic and ADHD students
>You're going to be locked into a 12 year status competition with 1,000 other kids your age
>And they all decided your status was zero before you've said a single word
>And the teachers will condone and encourage the bullying because they feel you deserve it
I will vote for the first candidate who tries to defund public schools.

Most jobs suck, so by default most people are forced to go to a job they hate. Doesn't help that 9-5, 5/7 days a week is bullshit either. Existence is a miserable thing for most people on this planet.
>>
>>220994771
Sorry youre a gay loser but people who make the best of it have great time in public school and it'd be more abusive to take that away from everyone
>>
>>220994735
why would you think the west and china will be on opposite ends about the future culture war regarding assisted suicide and polygamy?

you can swing assisted suicide from the perspective of personal choice and liberty, so the west is on board, and from the perspective of government oversight to save on retirement funds, so the commie bugmen are on board.

and polygamy and the re-imagination of the nuclear family is pretty much the only way to get birthrates back up to 2.0 and beyond, literally every government on earth already has diminishing birthrates, both china and the west will be on board with this.
its conservative/religious luddites who will be opposed to this change, like always, trying to hold back the tide with a broom.

I do 3 to 11pm at a job i love but pays shit. But I get the benefit of fucking around on my laptop for 75% of the shift most days. Ive been forced into becoming a people person through the hospitality industry.

It's a terrible situation for kids without good social skills. I got good social skills in my 20s and did fine then, but high school is miserable. I remember one of the "cool" kids ended up going to jail for six months though at 18, then dying of an overdose when he was about 29. At least that happened.
>>
>>220994995
I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood because I didn't have the "loud and obsessed with trains" autism doctors look for. So my whole school life I was punished for things I had absolutely no control over.
>>
>>220994973
No I had very little friends but I spent a lot of time getting fucked up and acting like an egomaniacal jackass so I could feel superior to the other honors kids with friends because I had top grades of men in my school. Then in senior year after a lot of shit I found a pariah group newspaper club where 1 teacher inspired me and my retard designer friend and then I found my longtime gf in that class who was also a weirdo

Isn't this the guy that quit his job because he was making good money on TikTok but then his audience cratered because the entire appeal was watching him live a wagie life?
>>
most people nowadays make six figures working from home and are doing great financially. those of us who were too retarded to do so, like me as a 34 year old, are going to have a miserable remaining life. i sincerely hope i get struck with colon cancer that is apparently plaguing my generation, and get to die early.

Will never happen in a society that caters this much to women and that looks like that won't stop and it's even accelerating
And "polygamy, but just for women there!" already exist and it's called gangbangs

>everyone talks about retirement
>everyone hates working
>oh man i cant wait to retire, or i wish i won the lottery and never had to work again

then you have losers like me. its saturday, not tired, have no responsibilities. what do i do? i have literally not left my room and its 3 pm. i have done absolutely nothing the entire day. and this is how every day when i have free time goes. i have no motivation or ambition to get more hobbies. i dont have the ambition to try to get a better job because i dont have anyone to get it for. im so far behind everyone else that im never going to have a wife or kids anyway. i hate being around.
>>
>>220994771
??
I like how you imply that private schools do not have 400 kids competing for status, or that being fewer kids means their starting status will not be 0, or that being fewer kids means their ceiling of status will be higher somehow
lol
>>
My father did everything correct from an employment, investment, financial standpoint. Was able to retire at a somewhat regular age in his 60s. You know what else? He's never had friends or hobbies in his entire adult life. So he went back to work as a consultant. And all his days and night where he isn't working, he sits on the couch watching Youtube for 12+ hours a day. He almost died late last year from a massive heart attack before really even getting to enjoy his lifetime of work and finances. That's the future I'm headed towards without the benefit of a wife and great finances and housing, if I do end up old and retired, I'll have no one to do anything with and nothing to do so it's going to be a miserable existence. I hope I get the courage to kill myself.
