You now remember Disney's attempt and ripping off Madagascar
>>
>Colin from Canada voiced the koala
>>
>Madagascar
yet another good DreamWorks movie that got tainted by lame sequels

The second one is better than the first
>>
>>220993338
Has there been a single time that hasn't happen?
>>
>OP doesn't know the Twin Film
>>
>>220993265
Shit, I remember seeing a poster with the koala on a bus stop on the walk to school every morning on my last semester of 8th grade.

Apparently it was made by a Canadian animation studio founded by Bill Shatner and actually began production before Madagascar, but maybe that's just Disney propaganda.
>>220993311
WRONG! He apparently voiced a hyrax character.
>>
>>220993338
>that got tainted
I genuinely find it weird you guys think of things like this.
Why do you let a lame 2nd movie ruin the 1st movie for you in any scenario?
>>
Twin films happen because people within studios leak info to other studios and they will try to cash in on the hype
>>
>>220993379
Megamind didn't get tarnished that much because it's "sequel" was a straight-to-streaming movie that no one cared about.
>>
>>220993453
It was directed by Spaz Williams, a genuine pioneer of CGI whose career fizzled out once the technology went mainstream. There's a very interesting documentary about his life that's well worth watching.
>>
>>220993545
Fair enough, I wasn't even aware of the fact that it had a sequel.
>>
all I remember is a koala and a bucket
>>
>>220993265
They didn't even bother to make it themselves, they just bought it off the shelf from another animation company. It deserves to be forgotten.
>>
>>220993265
not really. must've missed this one
>>
>>220993370
I fully agree, but I guess this is the minority opinion. 2 was so good, can't believe people don't like it.

Of course 3 was utter garbage. I'm glad dreamworks got their quality control up and doesn't really put out shit anymore. Although I haven't seen ruby gilman/bad guys 2 but I hear they're good
