How did they become they best streaming platform? And completely free.
>>
>>220994807
It's not free, it's full of ads. Less ads than Pluto but still has them.
>>
>>220994895
Now you pay for streaming services and they have ads. Tubi ads really aren't bad.
>>
>They removed TMNT '87
Total bummer.
>>
>>220994895
I tried watching a movie on Plex or Pluto, I forget, and it was constant ad. The same movie on Tubi, like one ad. It's really not bad.
>>
>>220994807
streaming platforms are too busy churning out >muh original content, in the era when entertainment has never been shittier, and people want to watch the things they already love

This is on Tubi and it's the greatest love story ever told. At least it is until that interloper Corey Wilkins ruins everything.
>>
>>220994927
No, especially for the tv shows where the show was made for ad breaks. Pluto throws ads into the middle of dialogue instead of waiting for a scene to end.
>>
for me it's private trackers
>>
>>220995079
While on my PC, yes. I can't really do that on my Apple TV.
>>
Be nice if there was a watch history button, I've been on a Tubi binge lately. I watched Clue, that post-apocalyptic Patrick Swayze movie Steel Dawn was surprisingly not-terrible. Resurrection (1999) with Christopher Lambert, Wolf with Jack Nicholson.
>>
>>220995131
I've got a continue watching queue but I gave them my email.

I love that provide old, weird, goofy, niche, cheap & cult stuff like Netflix & Amazon used to.

I'm also mildly amused at the commercials because they don't seem to be algorithm based and they are just random commercials. I'll watch a B&W WWII movie and get commercials for post pregnancy skin care.
>>

Use a protonmail account?
>>
>>220995108
Jellyfin/Plex + Infuse
>>
>>220995192
When I watch Star Trek on Pluto it's all ads for AIDS medicine, if I watch other shows though they're just regular ads.
>>
>>220994807
Meh, it was better when it had old perverted anime series and low budget nog movies
>>
I fucking hate the trivago ad

Tubi trash just hits harder than trash on any other platform
>>
>>220995192
Tubi is literally just TV over IP
>>
>>220995131
it is annoying that they make you login for that shit because you know they've already grabbed every last bit of info about you that they can so why they try for email is just beyond me.
And, btw, I know they track because when I use it without logging in it tracks and keeps my personalization, it always recommends the same stuff, so I know they know it's me, they just won't give me a history page.
>>
>>220994807
Because it's the only streamer with a decent selection of old movies.
>>
>>220994807
Now anons have no excuse for not watching The Shield
>>
>>220995207
never. free accounts are the first step to paid accounts. more people refuse to sign up, longer it stays free
>>
Pluto has it too, but for me it's the 24/7 X-Files channel
>>
>>220994993
Pluto sucks, half the ads are degenerative shit for fags and nogs
>>
>>220996040
pluto has better shows. if i want to watch a movie i just 123movie or whatever
>>
>>220994895
Netflix is full of ads and you have to pay for it
>>
>>220994895
>not using an adblocker to never get an ad
Regardless, their new creatorverse trash made me stop using them. I don't give a shit about some youtube faggots being available on a streaming site.
>>
>>220996207
And half their catalog is jeet slop.
>>
>>220996265
This shit was so infuriating when I had Netflix. It was downright insulting.

Are paid marketers debating each other in this thread? Why the fuck are ads even an issue? Hello, just use ublock origin or adnauseum? You can even block ads with DNS on your router or something.
>>
Why does it so many fucking ads?
>>
>>220996630
you cant really block ads on the live channels
>>
>>220994895
Not only am I willing to pay for ad free, I want to pay someone to physically assault advertisers.
>>
>>220994927
>Tubi ads really aren't bad.
One day we're gonna drown all you rats.
>>
>>220994807
Every movie is fed through the same color grading, even from different countries and time periods. NPCs in the future will not know how much culture/history are erased.
>>
>>220995954
At worse they’ll just give an ad free tier and sell subs that way, then potentially load you with more ads on the other side to make up more incentive to get it. Or possibly make sub only content like new shows and films. But I don’t see them getting rid of the free tier. Ever.
>>
>>220994895
you know what else has ads
>>
>>220994807
the fuck is a stream?
the hard drive plugs into anything that has a usb port and you pick what you want to watch.
24tb will get you just about everything ever, in at least 720p.
>>
>>220995954
I made my first Tubi account almost a decade ago, at least it's slow steps.
>>
>>220996630
they have segments between the shows that show the ads, it would just be a silent splash screen even if it did block it. The ads are just like watching tv anyway. who cares.
>>
>>220994807
Tubi sucks now. No surprise it aligns with getting a jeet ceo and making negro slop.
>>
All of you go check Trivago right now. You've been warned.
>>
>>220994807
They don't even give you the option to pay them to remove the ads. It's grim.
>>
>>220998222
Why? Is there some mega deal currently going on with hotel prices or something?
>>
>>220998259
You can't afford to miss these deals AND we're all going to laugh at you if you don't.
>>
Because they're free and offer pretty much everything from the public domain. It's crazy to me that none of the other platforms have stuff like Nosferatu or When the Clouds Roll By even if just to pad their catalog.
>>
>Not just buying/building a server
>>
Weird tip of my fedora: Roku channel app on a FireTV won't play actual ads more than half the time, instead it will play either a weird clip from the show you're watching or it'll just be that weird stoner space music shit for a minute.
>>
>>220994895
let the goyim live in the ad world
>>

kino service
>>
>>220994807
I love tapping into that particular vein of movie suggestion pages filled with the type of shit that sites like Cineverse or Midnight Pulp or TromaNOW would normally charge money to rent
Barely any DRM on there either, so... you know... it's all for keeps ;)
>>
>>220994807
I agree

>pluto goes to commercial at random times in movies and shows
>cuts in middle of sentences
i remember when they edited movies for cable tv that they'd make appropriate cuts for commercial breaks
does tubi do this bullshit?
>>
Tubi has plenty of cheap transfers that aren’t in HD quality, the search function is ass especially when they often have typos in foreign names, they often offer censored or otherwise cut down versions of movies, sometimes the subtitles aren’t times right, they can offer multiple different versions of the same movie without bothering to explain what’s the difference besides different cover art unless it’s a Spanish dub so you have to try comparing the running times etc. to see what might be different about them, they’re really bad at listing new additions/what is leaving soon…

For a completely free service it’s pretty good and has good catalog for watching less popular stuff but it does have plenty of annoying features.
>>
>>220994807
It's great for obscure/DTV stuff. Dolph Lundgren's entire kino catalogue is on there.
>>
>>221000829
Pluto’s whole website is pure cancer the way it forces that streaming now shit on the corner and it’s super fucking annoying how you can’t even easily fast forward to a specific place without mandatory ads
>>
tubi has a shitload of great underrated horror movies I love it
>>
>>220995481
I can't tell if that's a discount Christina Ricci or the real thing
>>
>>220998082
The real benefit of Tubi is when you don't know what you want to watch and stumble on some random cheesy b movie that probably doesn't have a torrent with seeders anyway.
>>
>>221001291
this. Sometimes I just want to scroll through whatever and watch some random thing
>>
>>220994807
I’ve always loved shitty horror and sci-fi movies from the 70s/80s/90s and tubi has a lot. My most watched streaming platforms are Tubi, Pluto and YouTube.
>>
>>221001475
highly recommend Blood Diner if you like shitty goofy horror films from the 80's
about to watch it for the 20th time tonight
>>
>>221001475
Netflix and Hulu have way too many shitty horror. Anything that’s an overt metaphor for grief/addiction is always shit but somehow gets praised. Look at the top 200 horror movies on rotten tomatoes and all of them are shit. Movies like the Thing and Event Horizon shit all over something like “It Follows” or “Hereditary”.
>>
>>221001291
yeah they have a surprising amount of b movie gems. watching Combat Shock the other night and had to take a shower after I felt so grimy.
>>
>pirate everything for free with no ads
>win
Stop being lazy.
>>
>>220994807
That's the best one?
It's riddled with ads, the video quality is awful, and the library is rubbish.
>>
>>220996630
Zoomers don't know how install browser addons.
>>
>>220994895
>zoomer watches ads
Subhuman behavior. Block them, idiot.
>>
>>220995905
Apart for the fact that it's god-awful.
>>
>>221001291
It doesn't get more pathetic than that - just consuming some junk because it's convenient. Literally wasting part of your life for it.

People who use heroin are using their time more wisely than you are. At least they're getting wasted.
>>
>>220994895
You’re a stupid bitch
>>
>>220998233
What's grim is you don't know how to install an adblocker.
How did you even make it onto 4chan and manage to write a post?
>>
>>220995079
99% of what i watch is on public trackers.
I use a certain asian tracker though to get remuxes of asian blurays that have commentaries.
>>
>>220994807
It's objectively the best platform for oldfags who dont like anything that was released after 2007. Second only to Prime.
>>220994895
How did you retards grow up in the post-internet age and can't figure out how to work a basic adblocker.
>>
Last time I tried pluto it used a shitload of RAM, lagged like a son of a bitch and then crashed my browser
I hate heavy ass resource-hogging site design.
In the late 90s it was like web design 101 to make your site as lite as possible and down-compatible with old dinosaur 'puters.
Do they not teach this anymore?
>>
>>221000410
>suggestion pages
>letting nefarious advertising tech decide what you watch for you
Insanity. Are you a woman?
