They get some aspects of the character right, (smartass banter), but basically the three different spiderfag actors get different aspects right/wrong, and different parts of the Spiderfag story, but not all. Garfield got Gwen's death and saddled with the Peter's-spy-parents storyline or whatever that shit was that everyone else wisely avoided. It sucked in the comics too, so I don't remember, (best forgotten).

It's kinda why the 'No Way Home' multiple Spidermen thing worked so well, where they could play off some of the pros and downplay the cons, and everyone agrees it was great that Garfield got to redeem his version in that. Might make the original Amazing films and character feel better/redeemed somewhat in retrospect, but they were still pretty bad on their own in the cold light of day.

Interesting that Raimi Spiderman was pre-MCU, at the dawn of the capeshit era and is probably going to be the only survivor when the dust settles.
