Not. I still don't know what dune is even about. I gather it's like a generic fantasy story but with sci-fi flavoring and there's sandworms. I don't care for the lead actor especially.

I saw part 2 in 70mm IMAX and I don't really remember it outside of the set pieces. This seems rather unnecessary. I know it was a Herbert book but the Dune story was told. Barron defeated. See little to no hype surrounding this.

The original books are neat. Convergence of thousands of years of eugenics, religious psyopping, and happenstance combined with a drug that can show the future all gets out of hand at the time the book takes place.
Also some ecological stuff that's neat

Too much stuff happens in the characters' heads messiah and onward, they did a bad job of portraying the prescient visions and they just get more intense so I dont have faith. I'll still see it tho, just not in theaters. I liked the look of the new movies, and the OST. It's frustrating honestly.
