A lot of important content was cut in those movies. The only way to know more about it is on the movie novelization by Matthew Stover. Why didn't they go for at least 3 hrs like in LOTR?

They were so cringe. I rewatched the order 66 scene again and all the battle scenes are overfilled with cartoonish crappy CGI and terrible ideas. It is supposed to be this grimdark epic event, Darth Vader's final plunge to the dark side where he believes he is breaking free from the grip of the jedi and saving Padme but really is killing her and entering the grasp of Palpatine, instead it's this weird clown circus only saved by the John Williams score.This is coming from someone who doesn't hate the Ewoks either, I get it is for children, but do they really want a different Jakovasaur they're supposed to fall in love with every 30 seconds and a dozen different things happening on the screen at once.

Super hokey looking turn of the century CGI is in it's own way like fake rubber masks from the 80's.The main problem with the prequels is some of the characters aren't fantastic. I think Dooku in particular stands out as a totally forgettable character, who had every right to be great, because it's Christopher Lee playing a villain. Still, they're not anywhere near as bad as people would have you believe. They're just popcorn movies from 20+ years ago. Don't take them so seriously, and you'll probably have fun with them.
