Why does no one call him Sheev in the movies?
>>
because nobody uses anybody's name in those movies. the only way the audience could ever learn their names was to buy the name labeled action figures and hope it was the correct name since there were multiple versions.
>>
he has no friends

Didn't want to get audiences confused with Shmee Skywalker
>>
Sheev might be the stupidest fucking name possible

Xhazt would be a better five letter name.

Fuck Sheev and fuck George

'Palpatine' was imagined by Lucas after the second movie was made.
i know it's in the Return of the Jedi novelization. you know what's also in the novelizations? that the actual 'Emperor' is just some no-name figurehead, a puppet (and not an all-powerful space wizard).

besides, how many people spoke to e.g. Roman emperors as if they were on first-name terms?

sheevs feevs and seevs

Why did sheev make the code word something as ubiquitous as order 66? What if a clone was in a space diner and heard it?
>ORDA 66 ONE PLATE'A SPACE SLOP
>Oh no I have to shoot jedi now

acshually sheev came from a novelization. palpatine was from the action figure though. One of the non-george people on the OT talked about one way the original draft of star wars was poorly written was the overuse of nonsense alien names.

I thought his name was Paul Patine

I found that scene to be disgusting. The whole movie was built around "hey, remember this detail about han solo? this is where he got it from", stupid flashbacks and retcons to explain every single detail. But this one was too absurd.

Use the force, Luke?
Luke, I am your father?

He's a high ranking diplomat, chancellor, and then Emperor. All positions which it's proper to address the person by their title.

Nope, it's 'No. I am your father.'

if the original Lord & Miller version had that, it could work. i know people whine about deconstruction and subversion, but they somehow made the fucking Lego Movie good (and that Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs movie, very underrated).

Andor gets praise for going in a 'i don't give a fuck about Star Wars' direction, i'm guessing L&M wanted to do that in a comedy direction. if they meticulously showed every aspect of how Han bought his outfit in their comedic style, that could have been funny.

fun fact: in Dark Hand III, it's revealed that Emperor Sheev was on the verge of mastering flow-walking, and the original Old Republic 'Senedd' was named after the time he spent back there.
