This was genuinely great. Its like House if he was a cop, but the actual deduction part is much more tighter and realistic, but because of that, it lacks the "Diagnosis reflects an insight into the patient, which reflects an insight into house and his values" type of thing. With more absurd problems to solve, theres a much more unique sort of approach to character writing and themes than can realistically be done in the context of crime. Its kind of hard to explain, the ironic thing is you get far more information about the victim in this show than you ever would in House, but the House patients are more pointed in what they reflect about a set of values, relationships, and human behaviour.Was much tighter overall regarding the paramaters of a case and making it as logically coherent as possible, and giving character actions (besides the psycho criminals, but thats par for course in crime shows) some weight and understanding within a perspective. The characters aren't deep like House, but its refreshing to have characters who make sense for the most part.Really hope this doesn't end up being another MindHunter case where the 1st season is great and the 2nd season is so bad it ruins everything prior retroactively.
