His end goal was to breed humans with B- blood because it tasted best to vamps. In both the show and books they have a clinic/farm set up for pregnant women and the fetuses were harvested at 6 months and the mothers immediately reimpregnated in order to keep the pure virgin B- flowing. Eventually all other humans would be bred out and there would only be B- humans left with education or culture, kept in farms and harvested.

In the book the vamps are bits of an angel that got torn to pieces and the corrupted rotting blood from those bits turned into worms. His worms came from the mouth and the throat of the angel. He also has a huge chip on his shoulder because he was the last vampire to emerge and the other 6 vampires didn't want a 7th around to upset the careful peace they had between them. They hunted him all the time.

Fuck me this show was bad, but I just kept watching.The rat catcher, the old guy, the German and Eldritch were fun enough characters that kept me going.Quinlin was essentially the Daryl Dixon of the show. Cool brooding zombie killing guy. He was extremely dull and lame often, but not hatable.Hacker girl was good half the time, horrible the other half, but otherwise likable.The main guy and his son were absolutely horrendous. Like all the hating on child actors is played out, but the dad was honestly way worse. Probably the worst and most unlikable protagonist from anything I've ever watched or read in my entire life. Absolutely hated that fucking retard on so many levels. They take up the majority of the screen time as well, just utterly insufferable.The final season was almost unwatchable.
