And Jim Carrey movies were always dumb, so when it turned out to be a retarded cartoon no one got mad about it because that's kind of what was supposed to happen. No one else got the joke, but he got it so hard it made up for everyone else being out of the loop.

She's in the black/purple screaming hell chase for only about eight minutes or so (retrograde), and the Last Supper (which only lasts a few minutes) does this crazy thing where they recycle the weird shots (Leatherface sliding down the table toward her, etc), heightening the madness. I've still never done a shot-for-shot breakdown of the recycling but it establishes a climactic delirium. Chop top scratching his plate and Dennis Hopper playing with chainsaws (although fun) just doesn't compare. Even the final twirl by the girl with the chainsaw is a pathetic redux of the indelible final image.You've chosen to ignore the building dread for your silly remark. Unlike its sequel, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a perfect film.
