>ywn be a young adult with a solid friend group living in new york city in 1999why even live?
>>221016996>omg adulthood is so hard... in my new york apartment in the 1990s that i'm paying for with my shitty minimum wage job :(thank you gen X, very cool!
I think I saw one episode and liked the vibes. Very early stages of animation with risqué storylines. Or i might be thinking of some other mtv animation with them in a nieghborhood.
>>221016996Goat appears in this, Metalokalypse and Megas XLR.In my mind, its the the same universe.
>>221016996Mission Hill was better.
>>221016996The only episode I remember is the only where one of the girls shaves her pussy takes a polaroid and leaves it in a book.
>>221016996The insomnia episode is the best depiction of actual insomnia I've ever seen. It has a cute ending too.
>>221016996It was a better time. Do zoomers and younger even know what we lost? Can they even fathom it?
>>221017816that's actually what i was gonna post and i agree, but i'd probably rather live in new york in 1999 than boston. does anyone else have any shows like these two about urban life at the turn of the century? or that just have the same vibe>>221018692yeah, some of us know. but gotta keep marching on, it can't be the 90s and 2000s forever.
>>221018482will insomnia really make me a nonchalant vagrant-philosopher-type that can pull goth chicks?
>>221018950It'll make you super detached from reality if you're awake for long enough, so kinda. I remember, I once stayed awake for 56 hours and near the end, I waited in line at an airport and straight up didn't consider any of the people around me to be in the same reality as me. I felt like I was standing next to my body. Whether or not I would've been able to pull goth chicks back then, I don't know.
>>221016996Zillennial here. Gen Xers living comfy urban lives like this made me idealize adulthood to an insanely unrealistic degree as a kid. Basically reminds me of playing Coke Music/Coke Studios
