Lurking was more popular in the early days of 4chan. People don't lurk that much these days unless they're looking at /gif/ or some porn boards.

I'm partially illiterate and don't read what any of you postMy brain registers a vague interpretation of what you're saying at glance then I reply. I'm assuming this thread is about people not posting enough.
I don't bother to read threads I just post my thoughts, check back occasionally to see if I got any (You)s, and if I don't get any (You)s within one hour I get mad and hide the thread
I’ve primarily just lurked since 2012. I’ll add replies to interesting threads that are dying, to bump them and try and stimulate conversation so that I have more posts to read. That’s about it, though. I could probably count on one hand the number of threads I’ve started.

These past few weeks I've almost stopped posting.I'm a phoneposter while watching stuff on my computer, or in my bed, or at work.Problem is, few weeks back, my IP range has be banned, probebly some other fucker nearby that posted to many pedobait threads.Also 4chan is banned of my work computer.So now I mostly still lurk on my phone while watching my stuff, and if I feel like posting, or starting a new thread, i got to my home computer.It's really frustrating when i'm at work and can't ever reply.

I read threads to help me sleep. I just scroll through the catalog, open threads that interest me, then read until I fall asleep. Even if I'm browsing /tv/ on the couch in the afternoon, I end up falling asleep. I'd post more if I didn't have to do a captcha every time.
