Ralphie did reveal to Jackie Jr. that did didn’t participate in the famous card game robbery, purportedly due to contracting some VD, so he may have been jealous of how that accelerated Tony’s rise. He was also a genuine psychopath who seemed to derive pleasure from pushing and irritating people.
