I really think about "predictions" sometimes. One of the reasons why Science is so trusted, despite how many times it has been wrong. Is because of its unique predictive "powers". It really does seem unfair to chide any other subject or authority that makes claims about the world for this lack of predictive power. But thats exactly why you dont try and predict almost at all. Because when you get it wrong, no matter how smart you are, how knowledgeable you are, the world is simultaneously more complicated and more simple than you think. Truth isnt about complexity or simplicity. Its about what harmony of both simply IS. Complexity can be generated arbitrarily, and Simplicity can be reduced equally as arbitrarily. That means there is some other element that matters, that is relevant. What is it?I don't know. All I know is that I am less confident in this show because of this.
