>Released in 1984>Predicts Americans obsession with real violence (Liveleak, TheNYC, police bodycams, etc)How did the Italians do it?
I miss fun Italian trash movies. What ever happened to Italy's film industry? They used to pump out movies by the week.
Lucio Fulci has never made a single good film. Not even The Beyond. He was an absolute faggot HACK.
>>221022461>How did the Italians do it?you throw a bunch of shit against the wall and some of it has got to stick
>>221022514No he was based and I loved his movies. Only thing holding him back was budget and lack of CG.
>>221022461Man... I really hated dealing with all those Texas Gladiators on top of covid restrictions
finita
>>221022525>lack of CGCG has creativity set us back as a species.
>>221022613I agree, so you should like Fulci.I'm just saying CG would've enabled him to do shit he only dreamed of, similar to Spielberg and Jurassic Park.
>>221022641I'm not the same Anon. My favorite Fulci movie is Conquest
>>221022508Same thing that happened to the British film industry, Hollywood invented the blockbuster which was too expensive to try and compete with on the high end and slop television cut the legs out from the low end.
>>221022668That's pretty close to my non-horror favorite of his, Warriors of the Year 2072, through visuals alone, he makes me feel like the setting is futuristic through that 70's/80's lens. Murder-Rock: Dancing Death is probably my favorite horror of his.
I still jerk off to sex scenes from old Italian movies
>>221022508>What ever happened to Italy's film industry?Italian here.It died. The stuff we did well became taboo or fell out of fashion. No new generation of interesting people replaced the old one. The industry became lame and incestuous, and nowadays can't do anything beyond lame lame unfun comedied, artsy fartsy flicks and shit about Carabinieri and mafia. The only Italian Movie I've seen in 30 years is the surprisingly good Laplace's Demon (2017), heavily recommended if you like low budget but very interesting scifi mystery.
>>221022613>CG has creativity set us back as a species.True. And you'll see the effect of AI...
>>221023853AI images are just a sub-group of CGI as a whole.
>>221024236with extra extra laziness
>>221022461Italians were the ones responsible for some of the worst most exploitative cinema in the 70s and 80s. They're charlatans and hypocrites.
>>221024397Fuck off, moralfag.
>>221024397>some of the worst most exploitative cinema in the 70s and 80s
>Released in 1971>Predicts automation of industrial production (AI nowadays)How did the Italians do it?
>>221022461>Americans are obsessed with sex & violence>America is KKKristian pradeshPick one, Eurotroons
>>221022461>>Released in 1984America has been the same for the last two centuries or so. Their only novelty is the addition of transsexuals.
>>221024424>>221024439Shit like mondo films transformed from documentaries about exotic tribal customs to apartheid murders, animals staged by the directors to kill each other and any fake/authentic gore reel they could find. But keep arguing the artistic merit of that.
