that's Sopranos and don't get me wrong I like the show but reading posts here by redditors (modern day /tv/) you have a feeling that this is some kind of Kubrickesque masterpiece and not just a dark comedy with funny italian accents.

overhyped to hell and back. Simon's other show Homicide covered a lot of the same material years before it aired but redditors act like The Wire was totally unprecedented
