Having watched "Logan's Run," I'm convinced that the majority of the reason why Gen-X is/was terrified of turning 30 was precisely because of this movie. It was really cool that the late (and great) MF Doom sampled from this film as well.

That sounds pretty absurd to me.
I can believe that Jaws make people afraid of the ocean because shark attacks can and do happen, but what happens in Logan's Run doesn't happen IRL, so why would anyone fear that?
