Best movie games, or games about movies? Thinking of buying this, playing for fortyish minutes, refunding it and then going back to watching TV. Is it any good?

>>221024362Says reviews are mostly positive. I dunno, why not wait for a Steam Sale when it'll be like 10 bucks?
>>221024558I'm a boomer so Hollywood (1995) is more my speed. But The Movies is obviously better.
>>221024362>imagine playing this when PoE2 just released a new leagueLmao
>>221024362Hollywood Animal is very rough around the edges, but it's absolutely worth a try because it's not made by Westerners and therefore isn't sanitized to shit in its portrayal of the time period and how fucking scummy the business side of show business is. You can blackmail actors to save money, creating an incentive to turn pedophiles and rapists into stars. One of the first events I got was about how one of your talents is a racist who wants you to fire non-whites. In one of the more recent updates, I think you can be commissioned by Nazi Germany to make propaganda for them, but I haven't played that one yet.
>>221025598That whole genre is just spamslop, gaming peaked with RTS. I've been into AoE IV lately
>>221024362I've got 30 hours in it, it's promising but still very much unfinished and buggy, for one thing they really lean into the period, theres a mission where the german ambassador (this is before WW2) wants you to fire every jew in the studio
>>221024362Not quite a movie game but Behind the Dune is must play for any Dune fan.
>>221024362no but seriously the gameplay is not even that good and the plot is kino and the cut scenes are sometimes very long
