>you weren't scared? you just didn't watch it right! you have to be in the dark, alone, at night, and imagine yourself as the characters! close yourself off from everything and think about being a kid alone! Why do people say this shit to defend this boring trash? Literally all horror is scarier if you're alone in the dark. The difference is that other horror can actually make you feel something without you having to listen to its pretentious fans telling you you have to get into a sensory deprivation tank and enter a state of zen meditation to trick your brain into getting literally any fucking thing out of it.
Stuff like the eyeball and the time rewinding death was pretty wild honestlyYou don't really see that and it's impressiveThere's a really good movie in there
I loved it, and I usually hate pretentiouscore. Idk. Truly reminded me of how it felt to be scared as a little kid or have a bad dream. I spent the night at a relative's house once and woke up to old creepy cartoons on the late night tele and it was a similar vibe.
>>221026151>There's a really good movie in thereNo. There are interesting SCENES in there. There's maybe a good five-ten minute SHORT in there. There is not a good MOVIE in there. It's bloated boring shit pointlessly padded out to get a feature length runtime.
>>221026130I really enjoyed it in hindsight, but I wish I got a hint of what I was getting into first (an atmospheric "experimental" movie). I gave it my undivided attention the first 30 or 40 mins so by the time stuff started happening, I was almost mentally checked out. It's not for everyone. Neat idea
