I’d love to see liminal Astroturf pitches. A roof so high it could be outdoors. The green fences/cages towering impossibly high. Infinite darkness above the glowing stadium lights. Confusing maze-like cages. Maybe a silly football man could chase you idfk. AI actually nailed it.

I’ll post more because its one I find comfy.

Just watched it, I really wish they included liminal spaces of outside environments. Kane had that in the damn web series with the city skyscrapers, but he didn't include anything similar at all in the film. Regardless, I enjoyed the focus on thematic work he'd been alluding to throughout his previous episodes, but I do think both productions suffer in quality if they're viewed separate. I imagine all the A-Sync scenes come across as pretty garish if you watch this as a standalone movie, for example

>>221029893
Anything different from the default office spaces and the pools, it doesn't necessarily need to be open air like I mentioned. The Christmas set piece was my favourite for that reason. I wanted to see Mary go through that giant apartment complex area, right; just clean up Kowloon a bit and throw the next characters inside, it'd be a good area

There is something about being out at night in a place that is well lit but still "Dark" per se and feels safe, these are those places. Lots of space, good lighting, it feels like the place where people fall in love IMO and I'm not being facetious. Driving ranges/tennis courts etc.

The Hanazono Room pool (officially No. 136 Hanazono Room) is an indoor swimming pool located in a penthouse apartment in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It is globally famous as an internet meme colloquially known as "That Pool" (Rei no Pūru or Ano Pūru in Japanese) due to its ubiquitous appearance as a filming backdrop.

I think the Batting Cage Rooms actually work a lot better than the Bathrooms. For Starters, Water is notoriously difficult to work with, Both on set and with CGI. In contrast, they could probably build this entire set, at scale for a quarter mill. But also, I think this would be a really great setting where they could create some very unique and anxiety inducing action sequences, again, for very cheap. They can do simple stuff, like trying to navigate the maze, while they can see aggressive monsters just behind several layers of fence, that are also trying to find their way to them. Maybe something like sports mascots, with the big heads and dopey grins, but something just seems wrong about them. Maybe some other monsters like an owl that perches ominously on top of the fence, and follows them around, but only attacks if someone tries to climb the fence. All just very cheap, low budget horror slop. and then they can afford to add another type of Backroom or 2, to make it more visually interesting, but keep the recurring threats

the world they are trapped in just has rows upon rows of empty houses. there is no exit. the monster is the child they must raise. it makes a high pitched screech when it wants to eat. the food they feed it is delivered in a box. i don't recall what the human couple eats. i guess the story was supposed to be antinatalist. i wonder who wrote it.
