Naruto would be perfect is Sasuke was a girl.It solves everything.Sakura, Hinata and Sasuko fight over Naruto, who basically harems them with various degree of success.The "rivals" that Naruto has are just tailed beast hosts from other villages so they come and go and don't clog up the harem story.

The romance was with Sakura. Naruto (Ntr for short) was bad end in every way. Literally at any point the story could have stopped and it would have been a bad end.Then Boruto made it even worse, so so much worse.
