What was your favorite comedy when you were 13?
>>
>>221043002
The Blues Brothers.
It's still my favourite comedy.
>>
>>221043002
I don't remember, probably Don't be a Menace or Austin Powers
>>
>>
Men in Tights I'd think
>>
>>221043002
Gremlins 2, maybe. I went through a phase where I thought Problem Child was good, but I grew out of it.

Do you love the movie the dreamers?

Blazing Saddles

Wait, fuck. I saw Hot Shots! Part Deux on my 12th birthday, and I fucking loved it. I was probably watching it on VHS repeatedly (and fapping to paused shots of Michelle in the sex scene) at 13.

Wayne's World. Or ace ventura
>>
>>221043662
The rhino scene in ace ventura 2 is probably the hardest I've ever laughed in a movie theater. I remember not being able to contain myself. I don't find that scene nearly as funny now but it's perfect adolescence humor and the funniest thing I've seen in a movie

Op is an old soul like me?

>>221043620
Idky but this movie really impressed me w it's comedy and i didn't even recognize all the references. I liked the naked gun series well enough (don't think i saw airplane until as an adult), but hspd really got to me, man. Glad you thought it was something special as well. That satire val kilmer did was solid too, but another one i didn't know existed until adulthood.

>grumpier old men
It wasn't a favorite, but I did see it when I was 13. My grandad took me. I felt odd how attracted I was to Sophia Loren.
>>
Super Troopers, which it still is

>Op is an old soul like me?
I think so.
>>
>>221043660
I didn't see that until I was like 15. A teacher actually showed a good deal of it in a class.

Felt the same way with the dog scene in something about mary.

I saw this on late night PBS having no knowledge of Monty Python and literally laughed my ass off.
>>
>>221043002
Rat race. Must’ve watched it 12 times in the span of a year when I got the DVD
>>

Pbs was the most hit or miss thing for me growing up, but i always knew it was worth checking out.
Late night weekends was the best chance for something interesting to me that wasn't children programming or science/nature. I still remember one late night it was short films and one was a guys going out late at night to call up the official nintendo helpline to progress in LoZ and he got swatted for looking sketch af.
>>
>>221043970
PBS used to have some nudity late at night like German TV.

this spirited romantic comedy
>>
>>221043808
Actually, i take that back. Those movies were probably a bit younger aged favorites of mine, i think around 13 it would have been Goldmember, Austin Powers. The first was good, second was a solid follow-up with enough new and familiar, third was peak form for me. It was that age where i liked the stupid, the crass, the silly, and the clever, all at once. But ofc it was weird what i liked and decided was trash/below me. But man, Goldmember was brilliant.

Duck Soup, Horse Feathers, Producers Blazing Saddles at 15.

Here's some comedies for you faggots. I put in some that aren't STRICTLY comedies; but still feel like they're driven most of the way by the comedy like The Breakfast Club, Steel Magnolias, and Lake Placid.
