Rewatched the first 2 episodes of s1 to see what stands out.

This frommie says "Julie, don't you recognize me?" and almost gets her, though Kenny intervenes and shoots him. They never went too hard on the idea of frommies shapeshifting and getting in your head, other than miy. I'm still not sure how much regular frommies can do that since they always seem to show up as the regular cast of cowboy, headband lady, nurse etc.

Trying to figure out the ending and the overall story, which the writers have confirmed is all written from beginning to end. Let me schizopost.

The frustration every character experiences and in turn every viewer is complex. It's the most unstated point that rightfully turns into a meme. Notice how on every single turn, every decision, in every new development where one would expect a particular outcome, or see a pattern to emerge, an event happens of varying significance, that changes everything. Every time something new happens, that new development is occurring on a new axis, that's perpendicular to the ones previously established. The realm is an ever shifting mechanism of considerable complexity and interconnectedness, so the reveal of all the answers in the series finale will probably also have some philosophical "moral" of the story to impart the audience, because it's likely that the writers intended for the story of the realm to be allegorical to our world. In the previous seasons there were a few scenes where the main characters had existential crises and sought deeper meaning to it all.

Since there are gnostic themes in the cosmology and metaphysics of the show (fake pocket universe, a demiurge feeding on suffering) the writers will probably have prepared some transcendent mystical religious resolutions, that a main character will be the vehicle for, so we can experience it too, perhaps Boyd. It will be very unwise for the show to end on them just figuring out the big puzzle and going back to the real world without lets say learning something deeper about reality also.

From is profoundly spiritual and religious. Search for meaning-telos, life, death, life after death, good, evil, violence, forgiveness, self-sacrifice, acceptance. They're setting up all these problems and creating a massive build up so if they're all used as cheap gimmicks then forgotten the finale will be a worse disappointment than GoT. I don't think that's what will happen though.
