Here you go:Emily Blunt and Josh O'Connor had a close encounter with an alien (the deer from the teaser) when they were 10 and that left them with the ability to speak and understand every language (Blunt) and be able to translate everything into math and back (O'Connor) though these abilities are only activated near the beginning of the movie. O'Connor is working for Colman Domingo and the two of them are defectors of WARDEX which seeks to keep evidence of alien activity in secret (since Roswell 1947). The whole movie you follow either Blunt or O'Connor as they escape WARDEX and team up with Domingo to do a big broadcast and reveal the truth about aliens to the world.Eve Hewson is his girlfriend, she gets co-opted by Firth (head of WARDEX) a few times throughout the movie via alien tech as he tries to either get O'Connor killed or his location revealed. Blunt's boyfriend is Wyatt Russell who doesn't believe or understand all that's going on and tries to sell her out at one point. That's about the gist of it. Movie ends with them showing UFO and Roswell footage to the world on TV and then a character brings in a live grey alien in a wheelchair (that he kept hidden the entire movie) on live TV to speak to the world, Emily Blunt is ready to translate his language starting with "Listen..." and then the movie ends. He-Man was the better movie of this summer, for now.

I wanted to share the last scene as I took this as a message from Spielberg to the viewers.Ok, so essentially there is a full disclosure of tons of footage from Roswell and other significant events broadcasted to all news networks across the country. This includes footage of the beings and their corpses being pulled from vehicles. During this disclosure, at the broadcast centre we see a main character wheel in one of the beings mentioned in the film and clearly one that was involved in the abduction of the two main characters when they were children. This being speaks in a dialect only understood by one character and whispers in his ear, who then passes the message on to the other individual who is broadcasting this disclosure in English.We do not hear what he says, but we see her share the a message on screen to the world. The movie goes full screen on the woman who is staring at you the audience and says “Listen”.The movie cuts to black and credits roll.To me, this felt like Spielberg telling the audience to listen to these stories and disclosures. I found it pretty amazing personally and it really landed with me.

The reason disclosure is happening slowly is because they're not preparing us for aliens. They're preparing us for what we did to them.Think about this for a second.
