>Christian Bale is locked in to play Vincent Hanna.>Jason Clarke is in talks to play Nate.>Stephen Graham is circling the role of the main villain, Otis Wardell.>Leonardo DiCaprio is circling the lead role of Chris Shiherlis, but is dragging his feet due to the lengthy shooting schedule and might opt for the smaller role of Neil McCauley.>Adam Driver was circling the role of McCauley, but DiCaprio has the priority. It DiCaprio goes for McCauley, Driver might take the role of Michael Cheritto.>Austin Butler was circling the role of young Chris in the flashback segments of the film, but it is unclear if he is still in the mix.https://theplaylist.net/heat-2-casting-rumors-christian-bale-vincent-hanna-20260605/
>>221079822Looks great, although I'd prefer Leo not have a big role, Butler either. Driver>Dicaprio. Bale+Mann is a great match, better if they were a bit younger of course (maybe). Not enough minorities either.
>>221079822The book is pretty good except the Robert deniro love story
>>221079901>Not enough minorities either.
>>221079949ebic joke, my friend
>>221079901Stephen Graham is black.
>>221080021Half the movie takes place in South America and Mexico a little bit but the interesting parts are in Chicago
>>221079822Great, now just get rid of Leo, Driver and Butler
>>221079822surely this'll be a wreck right?mann does not have it in him anymore he's a geriatric
>>221079822>the guy named Otis Wardell who talked like "ayo better have muh money sheeiitt" was actually white englishman
>>221080180Yes.
>>221079822>no black folk>no trans folk>no women folkYikes!
>>221079822>me own fookin' son...>has to get it on
>>221079822Any candidates to play Waingro? he is in the movie, right? he fucking better be
Why isn't Hershlag returning?
>>221080180>>221079822What even is this supposed to be? A prequel? The actors are the same age if not older than the first cast, and why would anyone want this?
>>221080903There's a Waingro stand in that's a much more prominent character. He's a home invasion robber
>>221080977I might have to start a Natalie Portman folder because of you and your reaction images. Post Nat's face when she's replaced by Leo's friend Butters
>>221081106
>>221080180Probably. Ferrari was okay, not great. I wouldn't expect someone his age to pull out a proper sequel/prequel to a legit classic film. I'm one of the not many who loves Blackhat though. Seriously you fags -- if you like Mann's more well like films, give Blackhat at least one more chance. It's brilliant. But who knows, maybe a really fucking old director will be able to pull off a great film. Any examples of a great director pulling off a great one in his declining years?
>>221080993so does this "home invasion robber" get it on is my quetion? thank you.
>>221081225>It's brilliant. Can you explain why you think that?
>>221081412
>>221081553I love the digital photography look, similar to Collateral and Miami Vice. Looks great in the Asian settings, especially at night. The core of the film is interesting -- the real world clashing with the virtual world, at speed and literally violently. Hemsworth surprisingly did a good job of playing a Mann protag, struggling to deal with his life and identity, past and future, given what he has to do in the film to better his situation and move forward. One really good shooting/action sequence, and the final "showdown" is pretty good too. Oh, the other shootout is decent as well, where the FBI agent and Marshal are killed. The male Chinese actor was quite good, as was McCallany, of Shotcaller fame lol. I don't feel up to expanding more on the film's ideas and look right now, but there's more to say of course. Just seems like those who like Collateral, Heat, etc. should probably enjoy Blackhat.
>>221079822The book is about cyber crimes in Paraguay or sth. Zzzzzz. ZERO connection to reality, when all the arms trafficking are govt/intel affiliated. Some rogues ain't gonna outdo actual mobs of the world.
more like Reheat
>>221081723I enjoy Collateral, and really like Heat, but thought Blackhat was a run of the mill thriller. But next time I watch it I'll keep your reading in mind and hopefully find something more to appreciate.
>driver“dropped”.
>>221079822Awesome
Adam Driver sucks get him out of there
>>221079822I don't remember any of these actors being in Heat
>>221083095This. Why ruin a good cast with him. I swear that fucker is blackmailing hollywood execs.
>>221080982presequel, multiverse type shit, Mann is still stuck in his Blackhat late dementia phase so the plot is heat 1 v2 and some boomer ahh corny shit about floppy disks
>>221079822casting Driver just killed this whole project lol
>>221079822Mann should retire
>>221079822>Adam driverWas kinda looking forward to it, not anymore
>>221080982I don’t get it either. There’s no way to make a sequel to a movie where everyone fucking died kek.>Movie about bang bang and bank robbing what should we call it uhhh I know Heat 2 or something.Wat
>>221080093pud pud
>>221085438maybe you should retire, ever think about that?
>>221079822>we'd better split up from this heist>yeah, we can't have you taking all the heat>don't worry, you'll have some... heat 2>*looks at camera*I'm in
>>221085878>mfw I spot the HEAT around the corner
>>221081412Big time. He gets it on a few times but he's more of a based rapist that don't care about anything
>>221080180Someone post the crash scene from Ferrari.
I hate leo being in everythingIsn't Shiherlis really the main character in book?
>>221085584Yeah, a lot
>>221086628>I hate leo being in everythingMaybe watch more than one movie a year, retard.
>>221087135what he means I think, is when an actor is sort of overexposed, especially a mediocre one, which I'd consider Leo, you don't really see them "become a character" you see the actor pretending to be a character, which diminishes the film. That's what I think anon's getting at anyway. I agree I wouldn't see the character in Heat II, I'd see Leo unless he does a fantastic job. Exceptions would be in The Departed and Blood Diamond, where he does very well (from Rhodesia btw).
>>221079822>HEAT 2They should have just called it Heat, even if it's a sequel. The first movie is called Heat (1995) all the time because the name is too generic of a word, so we could call the sequel Heat (2027) or something.
>>221087379Call it He Eat so that it sounds like Heat but slightly different
>>221087379>>221087406Should be Re-Heat obviously. Or Pre-Heat, as it's part prequel. Theaters could sell mini "ovens" as popcorn containers for $27 as a promotion. lil microwaves in the case of "re heat."No -- P(Re) Heat. Mann should pay me for coming up with this.
>Janny’s all over you. He's taken down some heavy posters. Range banned the baskin roberts poster last year. He was a fucking maniac. He was cleaning /b/ before that. He’s why the extra deletes.>Kicked out of three community colleges, what the fuck do you think that means? That he wants a real job with actual money? Means he’s one of those guys out there cleaning the board all day, dedicated, for free. With this guy and this much heat, you should get a 4chan pass.
