You look up TV writers from the 60s and they worked on a farm, went to war, worked in a steel mill, was a travelling salesman, then became a writerThen you had people like Rick Berman and Brannon Braga who didn't have real world experience, but they had to start off as low level people in the industry but had the older ones to learn fromThen the next group comes along (Alex Kurtzman) and gets put in charge of shows like Hercules at 24 years old. So he's not learning from the legends, and not even learning from the apprentices of legends since he didn't come up in the industry under Berman or Braga or even a faggot like Behr
