I like this show for its format and concept, but the questions are too British-centric for a non Brit. I still like watching final chases and beat the chasers on YT though.
>>
My parents love this show
>>
>gets the black chaser
>show is statistically 41% easier to win

actual brainrot nursing home slop I cant stand these gameshows

10 in bongerland

What's funnier is when they have a Yank, Canadian or Australian on the show as a contestant, one that has been living in Britain for a few years but gets those really specific English centric culture questions and they haven't a Scooby-fucking-do.
Same with the Indians and Pakis, no idea why they go on they're always fucking useless.

Family guy got it right with Brian failing the $100 Cricket ODI question

Kek I'll have to watch that.

It's funny when they have blacks on and get all the questions wrong and the team crash out.
They must know when they see a black on the team they are fucked

You know they have an american version?
>>
>>221104225
But instead of the chase it's called the waddle
>>
>>221104225
Doesn't our Beast go on the U.S. version? I wonder how he performs over there?
>>
British gameshows offer like 1/10th the prize American gameshows do. For them I guess it still buys a lot of tea.

We have two rival quiz shows here on at roughly the same time.
One on BBC call 'Pointless' which is aimed at a Middle Class audience and the other on ITV at the same time called The Chase which is aimed at a more general audience both Middle Class and Working Class but it's generally thought of as the more popular of the two shows.

Pointless on BBC1 offers a cash prize of... £1000 on average, not per person per question, but that's it.
The Chase on the other hands well it depends on how well the contestants perform on their questions, how brave they're willing to gamble their money they can go up to £100k cash prize or more if they're good and brave enough.

The host of the Chase has shit on the very small amount of money on offer from Pointless many times.
Chase is funnier as well, while Pointless thinks it's funny but it's just dull.
>>
>>221104311
Pointless I have seen a couple of before, isn't it the one where at the end you can just have "name the rarest golfer" and be 100% fucked if you simply know nothing about golf? Like it's just 1 shot, one question?
>>
>It's Monday night Mastermind/Only Connect/University Challengekino

How do you usually do on them Anon?
>>
>>221104328
Yeah name the rarest answer trying to beat the questions that 100 people had been surveryed to answer. It's dull, meandering, Alexander Armstrong the host has to talk a lot, repeat a lot of bullshit because he has to fill dead air which the show has a lot of. The final is an absolute shitshow where it's some esoteric question genre just like you said "name the rarest slughorn faggotmillion from the house of Doncaster from the years 1181 to 1182".
>>
>>221104625
Look into Japanese who wants to be a millionaire, beyond a certain point it's many questions about obscure Japanese poets, woodprint makers, shit like that. No way any non Jap can get over 10 yen.

Same with our Who Wants to be a Millionaire, above the halfway mark generally £32k the questions become incredibly specific on things most people won't have heard of even hear.
>>
>>221104625
Pointless is the most frustrating show. Movie related questions I am always seething how the most obvious answers are low scoring/pointless.
Would love to see the demographic info on the people surveyed.

>>
>>221104691
Even if you don't know the answer (and desu it's barely intermediate trivia) you should know that Terry Spinks was a boxer from the 60s, so he's far too late to be the right answer, and Freddie Mills was more famous for being an associate of the Krays than anything else, so it can only be A and D.

He's also the slowest at answering. Accurate but slow. Beast is innaccurate but fastest, the two women are the best chasers, fast and very accurate. indian guy and irish guy are both just below the women, then beast then darkie.

How would you know that if you're from India? That's the point that's being made here these questions are aimed at a British/ Irish audience. Which for us is good, but it's why it's funny to see when nons go on the show and fumble before the £1000 mark.

It's great, probably my favourite quiz show. Who Wants to be a Millionaire is way too slow, shows like Pointless are a bit pointless. The autist in me dislikes how the time counts down while the question is being asked in the timed rounds but it's tolerable. I'm from Ireland and am pretty close to uk culture especially since we get a lot of their tv, but pretty hopeless on uk geography and the occasional idiomatic expression. I like the bantz with the chasers, Bradley Walsh is funny, Jenny is hot and smart despite being a fat bitch physically, and it's just a fun show.

Typical pajeet on a uk quiz show:

People exaggerate the extent to which the show is rigged or a stitchup but I'm 100% sure that they tailor the questions depending on which chaser is on. Like Jenny definitely seems to get a disproportionate amount of movie/pop culture-based questions, Shaun gets more football questions, Darragh gets a shitload of science questions and even Irish language ones (of which he's a fluent speaker) lol
