>you cou- you couldn't even afford me ;__;
>>
>>221115805
has he even made a good movie in the last 20 years?
>>
>>221115805
Haha eat shit you fucking kike. No wonder Bond movies were so good.
>>
>>221115824
His last good movie was Jurassic Park
>>
>>221115805
Indiana Jones isn't that good anyway.
>>
>>221115854
they're not good though. You get maybe one good film from each actor then the rest is garbage or average at best.
>>
I remember Indy4 being shit from a directing perspective. Just totally devoid of style, like the entire movie was made by nobody in particular.

Then there was Ready Player One and Tintin and I have to say I can't even tell if Spielberg "directed" any of them. Looks like it was just "directed" by pre-vis crew and then rendered and Spielberg had no input other than maybe rubberstamping it.
>>
>>221115805
Why is the American entertainment elite so needlessly spiteful?
>>
>>221115824
Munich had some good bits.

Was Bridge of Spies any good?
>>
>>221115805
Can Spielberg afford the flop that is Disclosure Day?
>>
>>221115972
That's basically what Hans Zimmer does these days with his scores as well
>>
>>221116005
Bridge of Spies is meh. Munich is mad based.
>>
>>221115805
The slop he's pooped out in the last 20 years isn't even good enough for the Bond brand. If this was pre-2005 they were pretty stupid for not taking him on as director thoughbeit.
>>
>>221115972
The bar fight scene is incredibly directed
>>
>>221115972
Indy 4 came about because George Lucas begged them to make it. Remember all those memes that came out of George's ideas that Spielberg rejected?

Tin Tin is good. Ready Playera One is okay.
The last decent thing I saw from Spielberg was Bridge of spys, and it's a disgusting piece of propaganda.
>>
>>221115997
As opposed to what other entertainment elite?
>>
>>221115805
at this point, im confident he has no talent and just jewed people below him into taking all credit for their work or leeching off george lucas for joint projects and clout. Then muh holocaust made him untouchable. Any current movie or tv product from him shows how inept and talentless he is.
>>
>>221115805
Damn, this is just sad. Disclosure Day had SOME positive reviews, he didn't have to start digging into his journal for missed opportunities just yet.

Bridge of Spies was good, but boring. Basically inverse Avatar.
>>
>>221116096
What Spielberg did was bring the school of great directors like John Ford to family films, not necessarily more box office success.
Nolan does something similar.
>>
>>221116047
I can see why they didn't. He has a completely different style.
>>
If I liked the original French cartoons, will I like Adventures of Tintin?
>>

Tin Tin.
>>
I vaguely remember he and lucas came up with indiana jones because they couldn't do james bond
>>

Lol.
>>

They wouldn't ask you because you haven't made a good movie in over 20 years

>>

>>221116137
Yes
>>
When is the Africanized modern-urban Hook remake coming out? Plenty of Lost Boys in the world these days.
>>
>>221116137
Munich was his last good one. By good I mean one step forward two steps back.

The rest of his career is just taking many steps back.
>>
>>221115805
Lets you know he asked Amazon if he could direct the next one thinking the change in ownership gave him another shot. Obviously told him to kick rocks. Now he puts out that cringe of an alien movie. Fucking pathetic
>>
>>221116531
He's never made a good movie. Others made them. He just got credit.
>>
>>221116531
I'm Guy Hamilton, fucktard
>>
>>221116597
He's too powerful a producer, now and has been for decades. They don't want him calling the shots if they don't like the way he makes it.

They've both gone down hill honestly. James Bond has been dethroned as cool assassin guy by John Wick whose character is dead.

John Wick is unwatchable dogshit.

A guy like Spielberg would be used to people fawning over him and tripping over themselves to get in his good graces, especially when Hollywood still held its "magic" in a pre-streaming world. Now most kids don't even care about movies or don't have the attention span to watch them.
>>
>>221117763
The first half of Crystal Skull is unironically kino. It loses steam by the second once they get captured by the Russians in the jungle
>>
>>221116016
>Can Spielberg afford
He paid his ex-wife $100 million USD back in the 80s when they got divorced. That would be like paying $270 million to get divorced today. Nigga has been rich for a long time.
>>
>>221117763
I've watched that movie twice in my life. The first time was in theaters when it came out. The second time was last month. It was a solid 6.5/10 movie. Nothing really special about it, but nothing horrible either. People just focused on the fridge nuke and didn't realize that they were 20 years older than when they last saw an Indiana Jones movie for the first time. I think a lot of the hate came from critics and the journalists. Considering what we know about them now, they may have simply hated it because communists were the villains. I can't hate any movie in which commies get beaten. That's just good and wholesome right there.

many such cases

>>221115972
>I remember Indy4 being shit from a directing perspective.
Cope. That scene where Indy is introduced picking up his hat off the ground literally mogs 99% of other directors who would never come up with something like that, and shows what a "director" does and can actually do.

He was a child actor on a popular Disney show. I'm sure we can guess some of the stuff that happened to him. Try not to hate him for what he is, for it's quite likely that he is not a man of his own making.

yes Spielberg has been obsessed with it for years, but the Broccolis refused to consider him because he would overshadow the franchise and they would lose control of it

its interesting to see his success delcine as digital and cgi advanced. i only wish hollywood was willing to cut these leeches off so there would be room for people who understand how to use modern tools to be creative instead of only saving money.

>Higson wrote a series of five Young Bond novels, aimed at younger readers and concentrating on James Bond's school-days at Eton starting with SilverFin, released in 2005. In May 2023 Higson released his first adult Bond novel, On His Majesty's Secret Service, to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.
