Only one of those is a bad ending. I understand the sentiment and am kinda pissed about not getting a "V and Johnny integrate personalities into V2.0" but every ending except the easy mode one has some form of hope for both V and Johnny.

The game is absolute kino but if you get into the punk genre you’ll quickly learn that happy endings don’t exist.

there is actually an ending where V survives: you side with Idris Elba in Phantom Liberty, call him at the point of no return, you storm Arasaka with NUS support and afterwards they get their top surgeons to put you under the knife. You survive, but in a coma for 2 years and can't use cyberware anymore.

A couple months/years of getting drained by Panam's plump lips and pussy is a good ending, even if you die. She and her Nomad buddies are also sworn to help you, and it's not the most outlandish story asspull that they find a way. The game's based on tabletop and tabletop is all about that appeasement.

And there's no way the Aldecaldos are finding you a cure let's be honest that's a fucking pipe dream. It took the NUSA's/Arasaka's best scientists to pull it off, and even then it's with MAJOR, arguably unliveable consequences. See: >>221118318

Personally I went solo on Arasaka tower and let Johnny have my body. He will get 50+ years out of it. In my view V died the minute Dex pulled the trigger and everything after that was just extra time. Scraping and grovelling around for a cure is a bitch move.

If you go full nethacker is turning into a cyber ghost really a bad end?
I'd also say getting a cushy government job and not putting your life in danger constantly isn't a bad end
>>
Don't Fear the Reaper is the only true kino ending. V already sent SoMi to the moon and stormed Arasaka alone while bleeding his nose out. Raiding the Crystal Palace and surviving is possible. That nigga Mr. Blue Eyes knows his shit and would be a cool ally.
>>
>>221118686
> It took the NUSA's/Arasaka's best scientists to pull it off,
Arasaka's surgeons actually fail if you choose Hanako. AFAIK the NUSA are the only ones that are known to succeed.
>>
>>221118850
That NUSA ending railroads you into returning to Night City powerless and all your friends have abandoned you and your only friend left is the AI car. Kerry promises to help you with Bioware but a powerless V would have a short life in Night City, the amount of people looking for revenge would kill V fast.

Bioware looks like a teaser for Cyberpunk 2
>>
>>221118686
>And there's no way the Aldecaldos are finding you a cure let's be honest that's a fucking pipe dream
Official nomad clans have access to the nomad Corp which has orbital capabilities and resources off planet. Do not underestimate the nomad infrastructure.
>>
>>221118850
it's the classic SOMA issue: the "cyber ghost" isn't you, it's a copy of you rather than a transfer. Your consciousness just dies.
>>
>>221119021
I haven't played through it in a while, but don't remember anything mentioned about bioware. If V is the protagonist for a sequel I'm sure there's countless ways they could tie all that shit together though. All you need in any scenario is the bullshitium implant that makes everything work unless you happen to also need an entire body
>>
>>221119019
NUSA ending actually gives the other endings hope like the Nomads or Don't Fear the Reaper (Mr blue eyes claims he knows a way) because it means there are indeed ways to save V's life. It's just that these different factions have different knowledge that are not shared.
>>
>>221119057
That happens no matter what you do. V gets turned into an engram before any choices are made as that's the only way to keep them alive even for 2 years or whatever it was. That's what that weird sequence with the cats in the elevator was
>>
>>221119068
No I mean Bioware would just be a new game feature in Cyberpunk other than Cyberware. I don't think V would return, autists would complain too much about what's canon or not based on their gameplay.
>>
>>221118318
Unironically, V is probably better off not being able to use cyberware anyway. Even without cancer, that story only ends one way.
>Oh no, I have to disengage from the electric satan and find a way to enjoy my life without being a literal killing machine ;_;
I get that it's a bit of a bummer, but goddamn. There are plenty of people who aren't chromed-out solos who live good lives. He should just pork his romance option, retire, and vibe out somewhere while he enjoys the shitloads of eddies I made him doing sidequests. Write his memoirs or something.
The Phantom Liberty ending has no downsides unless you're a manchild.
>>
>>221119070
This is cope. The whole point of the game is meant to teach you that there are no solutions and there never was a cure - not in any meaningful sense. Literally every choice you make just leads to more pain, more suffering and more chaos. There is very deliberately no 'good ending'. You can't solve anything. The whole thing is a process of coming to terms with your own death. Dex says it:

>Would you rather live in peace as Mr. Nobody, die ripe, old and smelling slightly of urine? Or go down for all times in a blaze of glory, smelling near like posies, without seeing your thirtieth?
>>
>>221119143
If there wasn't some impending unavoidable death and against character V doesn't do some retarded blaze of glory thing, the best V could probably hope for is to be a bodyguard for the Us Cracks or Kerry or something and slowly turning into a has been while outliving basically anyone who would bother to want revenge (which probably wouldn't take that long)
>>
>>221118144
after seeing an intro of V doing all sorts of cool things the player wasn't doing, i immediately dropped this game
>>
>>221119228
You have to use santavision for that.
>>
>>221119211
He literally has an in with the NUSA government, V could get a contracting job there if he wanted. And there are dozens of people who owe V their life. Takemura, for example, can probably get you set up in an apartment somewhere.
Plus, again, V should already be fairly fucking rich.
The only downside is you don't get any glory anymore.
>Quiet Life
>Blaze of Glory
V literally spends the entire game panicking about the Blaze of Glory route and regretting it every second, and it's shown over and over to be the fool's choice for cocky retards.
There's no downside to just sucking it up and giving up on being a professional mercenary, it's probably what V should have done before the game even started. You're better off without the electric devil installed in your brain anyway.
>>
>>221119279
what?
>>
>>221119193
I don't care about the gay lessons the game is trying to teach me, I don't care about you lecturing me about it thinking you're smart everytime the topic of the game comes up, yes I am fully aware about the themes of the writing but I don't care. I'll make my own shit and continue to discuss it online.
>>
>>221119294
Having no implants in 2077 is basically like being blind, deaf and dumb. You'd be an utter social pariah, and completely unable to do any job, even desk-monkey (no data shards, no ports etc.). You'd be a fucking zoo exhibit at best and you'd be very swiftly killed more likely.

>>221119321
Super special unique star award.
>>
>>221119336
You're literally just obsessed with getting a job because you're a fucking wagie, lol.
How many times do I need to answer that? V doesn't need a job, and even if he did, he has contacts who owe him shit. He doesn't need to be a wagie, I don't know why the fuck you're so obsessed with that.
>>
>>221118257
Devil is a Kino ending for a cyberpunk game, even if it's a major bummer
>>
>>221118144
How the fuck did they not see vaping? The npcs smoke cigarettes and it really kills the immersion. It’d be easy to fix.
>>
>>221119445
They saw it, it's just that smoking is cool and vaping makes you look like you suck cocks by choice
>>
the problem with "no good endings" is they end up deus ex machina bad outcomes.
Like when you save that guy in a heist and the fixer says well some kids will die cause they don't have enough medicine cause you saved that guy. Its bad writing.
>>
>>221119468
I think that guy was just being an ungrateful cunt if we're both thinking of that mission el capitan gives you
>>
leaving Night City is a good ending, you get to live the rest of your days with people you care about
and sending Songbird to the moon is the good ending of Phantom Liberty
>>
>>221119468
>>221119494
I left that piece of shit behind. Every interaction you have with him he's a bitter bitch to you. He's a corrupt cop abusing his position. There's no incentive to save him.
If you do save him, he gets mad you saved him because some of the medicine is destroyed and you can't save all the kids. So leaving him behind is objectively the best option.
>>
>>221119468
It's annoying you can't thread the needle and just be rewarded by driving well, but they make it really fucking clear there's a downside to rescuing him too
>>
>>221119468
>the problem with "no good endings" is they end up deus ex machina bad outcomes.
That's not what a deus machina is, just call it contrived or forced. The reason this happens is because of a need to write some kind of consequence for the choices the player makes, those cannot be infinite. The ending is amusingly a subversion of Deus Ex Machina as the god from the machine (alt) cannot save you.
>>
>>221119494
>>221119575
ya thats the one, The game finally clicked with me when i stopped trying and just acted like a Merc and did what my fixer told me.

>>
>>221119294
>V literally spends the entire game panicking about the Blaze of Glory route and regretting it every second, and it's shown over and over to be the fool's choice for cocky retards
Yes and no. In a world where everyone is at the mercy of powers greater than themselves (even yorinobu) the only real possible freedom is accepting your own inevitable mortality while cunts debase themselves chasing immortality. The storm arasaka dialog with Johnny is about a personal choice that ultimately doesn't require "being remembered." Johnny didn't care about having a drink at the afterlife named after him, he cared about hurting those he hated (for good or ill) and V's "good ending" is him acknowledging the fact that he'd rather face impossible odds alone and fail than drag anyone else down or sacrifice people he cared about in his own self interest. Finding out Alt was always full of shit isn't necessarily a loss for a V who's already decided "fuck it, Spartans go out on their shields."
>>
>>221119902
Yeah, and if Johnny Silverhand gets your body in the end, you know what he does?
Realizes that wasting his life on petty vindictiveness isn't healthy, and then he leaves Night City to go have a fucking life instead of obsessing over destruction constantly.
There's more than one point of view, there isn't supposed to be a right answer. Maybe some people do need to die in a blaze of glory fighting the system, or maybe you should just mature a little and realize that there's more to life than battling over money and power constantly. Sometimes the way you win is just not accepting the premise. You don't NEED to fight an unwinnable battle against corporations as a super warrior. You can just go be happy.
>>
I'm thinking about stopping playing it after the girl kills herself. Seems like the game is worthless degeneracy and a way for jews to jew now.

>game has multiple openings
>they are all bad and lead to the same end
I have never hated a video game more than Cyberpunk. Never even made it past the first act, the prologue and initial setup was so bad and I hated every character. Except that ripper doctor dude, he was kinda cool.
I kind of want to go back to it to see how that fat fuck Jackie dies, but I also get the impression, since this shit is no way an RPG, that I won't have a dialogue option to piss on his bloated, rotting corpse. I bet there's some attempt at a tearjerking scene where V is crying as a dying Jackie talks to him in broken spanglish to take care of his madre.
Fuck this stupid ass game.
>t. played when Phantom Liberty dropped and the game was supposed to be "fixed", ran into a dozen bugs and visual glitches in the first hour
>>
>>221118144
The PL ending is good, it's just presented as bad so plebs wouldn't complain about "muh cyberpunk cannot have happy endings"
